Eagles providing a real good contest and clunking some. Cox classy down back but missing a little in the midfield. Wooller a fair bit off playing senior footy from the looks.
Skinner a real workhorse but goes to ground a lot in contests.
Getting used to their faces but the draftees look good at the level.

Probably not the best game to judge this, we had a few top ups and Melbourne have been bringing back a few of their top players through this game.

We played the game with 7 academy 19 year olds (i.e kids not good enough to get drafted last year) and 2 academy 18 years olds going in to their draft year.

Going off memory here, Eagles, Robertson, Wooller and Skinner our only players over 190cm. Maybe 1 or 2 of the top ups.

Not sure what type of result you expected.

We had: Zorko, Gardiner, Adams, Cutler, McInerney, Payne, Fullerton, Robertson and McFadyen unavailable through injury and three extra players (Lester, Taylor and one other, can't remember) unavailable for NEAFL selection due to us having 25 on the bench for JLT. That's essentially 12 players unavailable for NEAFL. Casey even let us use two of their players.

Thought Matty Eagles was absolutely sensational, Noah Answerth will be a player and there were some great glimpes of other players seeing as we were so undersized, height and strength wise. Ely tagging Viney for a while will be a great lesson.
