Please. No. That hurts my eyes.

But thanks for making these nevertheless.

But please adjust the colours. Maybe something a bit more neutral.

Hence why I said I am still making tweaks. Read man. Read!

Need I also remind you this goes through two different programs and loses a little quality. Can't do anything about that.

It’s sink or swim in the midfield at the Northern Blues for Polson and Cuningham (without Graham and Kerridge). I suspect LO’b and Stocker play blocks in the VFL and Seniors.

VFL should be better without the list decimated by injury ...

Goddard. B Silvagni.
Schumacher. Macreadie. Garlett.
LO’b. Stocker. Pickett.
Kerr. Casboult. Bugg.
Lang. TDK. Lebois.

R. Lobbe. Cuningham. Polson.

I. Owies. O’Dwyer.

I'd be surprised if LOB doesn't play the entire year at AFL level. I'll be the first to stick up my hand and say I wasn't a fan during his draft year. Too outside and didn't find enough of his own ball.

Was he gifted games early on??? Sure, as was Dow, but the skinny bugger put his head over the pill when it was his turn and if that meant he got crunched, then he wore it. Not only that, but he showed a consistent gradual rate of improvement right throughout the year, despite carrying a few niggles including a "hot-spot" on his foot.

Proving me wrong isn't here or there, because he did something much better......he won me over. After getting a second preseason under his belt, I'm hopeful he'll kick along quite rapidly.

Yeah, I was really happy with the way Lochie progressed during the season.

He struggled early but was still willing to put his head over the ball, wear contact or attempt the tackle as best he could. Finished the season with 20 and 22 disposals games.

I’m pretty much penciling him in for a wing spot, possibly coming off the bench, but I reckon he’s in the 22 just about every week.

We know he was driven as a junior because of his athletic success and where he fit into the team in the early time trials and the like at the start of last year. Would be amazed if he hasn’t worked his arse off during the off-season and comes back notably bigger, stronger, faster and with an improved tank.

That being said, it’s also going to be harder to hold a spot this year with the inclusions of wing/hbf/mid types like Doc, Willo, Setterfield, Walsh, Newman, Stocker, etc.

Still reckon O’Brien plays a hell of a lot of footy this year. Actually wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the year Lochie has one wing and Walsh has the other.

Going forward I think that might be our go; combining Cripps, Kennedy, Dow and Stocker as inside types and Setterfield, Fish, Samo, Cuningham/Polson/Lang/etc as the inside-outside balanced types.

Put quite simply we have lost no-one of any great quality (apologies to good clubmen et all) and added four players with absolute capacity to be A graders (McGovern, Setterfield, Walsh and Stocker) some speculative youngsters and some mid age depth players in key areas. Add Doc, Willo and a more organised system of keeping our key players on the field and there is no doubt in my mind that the future is looking navy blue.

The CFC is reborn.
Well done to all involved.
I particularly liked the way we pushed the GO button on thursday night in the trade with adelaide.
For 3 years , high end draft picks have been the necessary priority , now its winning ... full stop.
I personally think the crows are on the skids , there's plenty not right there.
I think the club strategically liked to deal with a club that rates itself higher than we do and also apparently doesnt rate us.
I genuinely believe there wont be a huge gulf between our ladder positions in 12 months time.
We add the player in Stocker we want/need NOW and retain a 2019 1st rounder that is every chance to be traded anyway for targeted established talent next year.
A well planned and executed rebuild , now the development , growth and fruits await ...

It’s hard to fit everyone in the best 22 assuming all are fit.
I also saw that LO’b got better as the season went on, but I see him on the fringe of our best 22 in 2019 ...
Perhaps a likely 22 assuming all are fit might illustrate it:

Plowman. Jones. Docherty.
Willliamson. Weitering. Marchbank.
SPS. Ed Curnow. Fisher.
McGovern. Charlie Curnow. Murphy.
Kennedy. Harry. Fasolo.
R Kreuzer. Cripps. Dow.
I. Setterfield. Walsh. Simpson. Newman.

Fringe ... LO’b, Stocker, Cuningham, JSOS, Pickett, Garlett, Thomas, Macreadie ...

Lists locked. Have my charts ready for next year (Sorry for the eyesores with the names. Will fix that up. Still making some tweaks).

EDIT - Just realised names are not in alphabetical order here. You idiot NBTJ35, McGovern before McKay.

Thank you! And thanks for the 2018 list in the BLueseum - even with all of those red blocks... grrrrr...

Might start with Murphy and Simmo on the wings with LOB on the bench.

Docherty and Newman playin HBF with Williamson on bench.

Gradually change over so the Simmo and Newman start on the bench by year's end.

Could easily swap LOB for Newman.

That is spot on the difficulty.
Many will post later that Thomas should be in the 22 too.
If Pickett gets to where we want him to be, who drops out, etc?
No question LO’b is right up there close to the best 22.
Dare I say it, there is genuine competition for the bottom 6 spots in the 22, and that is what we want.

Is there a Depth thread?

This is the best 22 team that SOS has put together for our long term success...

Docherty Macreade Weitering
Plowman Marchbank Williamson
Walsh Cripps Settlefield
JSilvagni McKay CCurnow
McGoven Kerr Petrovski-Seton
DeKoning Kennedy Fisher
O’Brien Stocker Polson Cuningham
Dow doesn’t get a run?

As much as I like Williamson, by the time round 1 rolls around he would have missed about 20 months of football.

I suspect Newman maybe ahead of him in the short term..

That and our defence is very tall.

I like this 22. If Pickett gets his shit together he’s gotta be in and hopefully Cuningham can work his way in. So maybe Plowman fasolo or Newman have to make way

Nice, but hope this never becomes the actual 22.

That forward line is too tall to even fit in my house.

Agree with being too tall so probably Plowman misses out
