I've not had a response (also 5-6 messages I think) since Jul 2018. Nearly 12 months since I last had a response.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kinda rude of a coach to just ignore tagging and PMs when people are putting in work to get something up and running? It's all well and good to be like oh life is busy but when a coach isnt too busy to be posting on forums but ignoring the league I dunno, I think you guys are too nice. (P.s not a personal stab at the dude I think he only responded to one of my PMs right back when I started and I'M glad I get to leave the hard decisions to TW, Rockford and UC)
ConfirmedTrade Alert
LWP gets - Dynamo's furture 4th round pick
Drew23 gets - Pick 49
49 is a pick I wont use so I delay it 12 months, Drew moves up the order a bit. Win win.
Hi All, just nominated my keepers. Please note I did not nominate Papley as He has been on traded. How does that work should I pick him up and move him on?
I think the bare minimum for a coach in this league has to be:I have brought this up previously, but I don’t think it serves the league well when a coach I an AWOL.
Especially a bottom 4 team making no moves in attempt to rebuild their list other than taking 5 draft picks a year.
Look at deeman87 and Zim^zuM Tutty
Making significant moves to ensure they are not going to stay as non finalist longer than required.
Just my thoughts
And yep, completely agree with all of that 100% tenderwarrior. I think it's a bare minimum for anyone in any fantasy league just to log in and set lineups, etc.I think the bare minimum for a coach in this league has to be:
- Post their squad in the List Management thread well before the Draft.
- Post their delistings in the List Management thread before the Draft deadline.
- If participating in the draft, taking their picks within the allotted time frames.
- Naming their starting lineup before each round of the season.
If a coach isn't doing these things, then I think we have an issue.
I don't think a coach has to trade, join in banter, post on Big Footy (apart from the list management stuff in the off-season!) etc, but obviously the more that participate in the 'life' of the league, the better it is for the league and the enjoyment of it.
I think if a Coach is on Big Footy and avoiding replying to messages re banter or trade requests etc., that is a bit shitty, but there is no rule saying they have to respond. I would say though, if the message is to do with trying to organise the list management, draft picks, confirmation of participation, then replying is very important - and if the coach is actively using Big Footy but choosing not to respond to these messages for whatever reason, then I think we have an issue.
Managing the List Management thread is not an easy task, and I have refused to write out the squads of the two missing teams because I don't think I should have to - managing this thread, updating squads, updating draft picks, keeping track of future draft picks, and keeping record of all the trades etc is a big enough task without feeling the need to do other coaches due diligence for them.
This is the first time I have started the List Management thread, and it can be a bit hectic at times. Thanks to Rockford for doing this for at least the previous two seasons, I probably didn't fully appreciate your efforts until now!
Can we get rid of him then pleaseAnd yep, completely agree with all of that 100% tenderwarrior. I think it's a bare minimum for anyone in any fantasy league just to log in and set lineups, etc.
We built this league based around a solid community where all felt comfortable to learn UF as we went I guess. And here we are (most of us) still going - albeit I think I was the first replacement coach and learnt a lot from trading Stevie J away so early
Other than that, I'd say it's an expectation that we respond to one another - and if we can't, at least let ONE person know what's going on in personal life in an offseason or something, so that we can just keep across where we're all at. I wouldn't expect everyone to be online 24/7, especially not in the offseason, but i'd have thought people would log in at least weekly-fortnightly to check in on updates, lists, etc, more so now than any other time in the leadup to what we know as the draft season.

Right and the league only works if everyone is sending out offers etc. There's always going to be coaches who are more active than others but leagues can only take a few non active coaches. If all 14 of us didnt respond or make offers the league wouldnt still be going and wouldnt be enjoyable for any of us. This is a hobby, its supposed to be voluntary fun and i dont really see why a coach would say they want to play and then not play. I get that any of the passion, enjoyment or time can change but i think when that happens the coach should step aside. It's no different than a person retiring from a sport, quitting a job, ending a relationship, i could go on, in fact all of those things are far more serious and require far more time and thought than this league. This is just a fun past time that take 10-300 mins a week depending on the coach but if you cant put in that 10 minutes then just say so because there's always other enthusiastic people who want to play. Shoutout to Mrpez who did just that, top notch fantasy ethics there. And yep, completely agree with all of that 100% tenderwarrior. Haha, well i meant as a minimum. Dont worry i put in far more thought to this league than to my job or relationships
I think there are always plenty of wannabe Tenderwarriors out there, our biggest concern is Ultimate Footy carking it!Not sure if there's a waiting list, but would we be in any danger of reducing the league size to 12 or something after this year if this is a continuous problem? Obviously that comes with its own issues ie. players, value, draft picks, etc. But just a thought.
Wasn't there a few who expressed interest in joining in the other thread? No one could be less active than threenewpadlocks has been
There's also a wait list in PRC offseason thread if we need to replace him, theres still 2 people on that who didnt get teams even after we turned over almost half the league. No shortage of people who wanna play in a fun dynasty leagueWasn't there a few who expressed interest in joining in the other thread? No one could be less active than threenewpadlocks has been
