HARRY McKay has been charged with striking following Carlton’s JLT 1 win over Essendon at Ikon Park.

The incident, which occurred in the fourth quarter of last Thursday’s game, was graded as careless, high contact and low impact, resulting in a sanction of $3,000. This sanction can be reduced to $2,000 with an early plea.

So its a $2,000 sanction, you aren't fooling anyone that its a $3,000 fine.

Merit in doing that, but these days when a Carlton player escapes without a suspension, you don't give the AFL another chance to make matters worse by going back to them.

Just saw it for the first time. Jones certainly worked Riewoldt over and he didn’t appreciate it. Pretty basic rule that RDB taught me. You can be hit at anytime so protect yourself at all times.
