Jack Viney cleared contact SHurn. Viney had arms outstretched when jumped in air and panel said he was contesting ball. No further action.
Jack left the ground to contest the ball and missed 4 weeks....

Can't really argue with the Cunnington week. I liked it though.

Contact between Melbourne’s Jack Viney and West Coast’sShannon Hurn from the fourth quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. The ball was loose in the air after a high handball forward from Melbourne’s Christian Petracca. Hurn and Viney were coming to the ball from opposite directions with eyes focussed on the ball. Viney jumped into the air with both arms outstretched in a bid to win possession and made high contact to Hurn. While I agree with you, it does seem a bit like the focus on 'impact' or consequence that was a big issue earlier in the season is no longer such a priority.
They love to shift the goalposts.

Enables engineered outcomes to be possible.

Predictable from MRP Hope Ben squares up the dog who gave him the black eye. Just love how the AFL made Barry Hall a legend when apparently against violence. Full of sxxt.

Well as you know......Gary's 300th has to be a good day. AFL have an opportunity to set that up so they'll take it.

When I saw Ben's hit, look more in the sternum than the throat.

Apparently, now, any "punch" is considered deliberate, and anywhere to to the head/neck/throat :D region will draw a suspension, depending on grading of impact. (unless Buddy etc etc )
And the club and who theyre playing the week or weeks after
