Actually think it's rough he even got a fine, they gave him something to appease those baying for his blood.
Yes and no. A misconduct charge is their way of saying 'we don't have a rule against this but please don't do it'.

I'm happy with that, because the alternative was either him not being charged, it going to the tribunal, or 2 weeks because of his record.

Well I think Greene is very lucky to just get fined $1500. That's the first time I have ever seen any player use the studs on his boot to fend off a player running to try to tackle in a non-marking contest. Sets a very poor example as far as I am concerned.

Am I alone in thinking Wines was very lucky? This whole outcome based system has gone too far.
You are not, joke of a decision, Chose to go the bump, got someone high. How many times have we been told that = weeks?

Was cooking and came into the room when that happened and I thought a week at the time. Surprised.

And that Shaun the pies supporter is a pain in the ass who calls into SEN. Calls up late at night and goes on and on and on all the time. Bloody big sook.

Anyway suck it Redpath. Will be glad to see the back the back of that bunch of hacks....will be pain for them the next few years as far as I am concerned.

Protecting yourself is fine. He shouldn't go for that.
When i saw it i'd not seen the leadup, so i figured it was a marking contest, and only later saw he was receiving a handball.

That does make a difference. If a fend off with a hand made equivalent contact to an opponents face i suspect it would cop a week.

But, the mitigating factor here is that the dog player seemed to pretty much run into green's extended foot, so he contributed to his own downfall.

Bont says weeks, so a fine is probably right :)

If he had punched with his fist instead of kick with his boot, it would of been 2 weeks, possibly more.

What is going on here. They found a loophole and used it to ensure no impact in leadup to the finals, not interested in protecting the players head.

Insane - the dude could of been disfigured, had his eye damaged, had any number of brain injuries from a kick to the head.

Wasn't even going for a mark - there was no space to protect because it wasn't a marking contest. There are so many things here that boggle the mind.

What a dirty campaigner of a player he is.
