Yeah, him learning to shoot is going to be the key - last year 98% of his shots came from inside 15 feet.
If he can hit the outside shot with semi-regularity it opens up his game to use his handle. And as an offensive specialist he needs that, because as a back-to-the-basket guy his scope is extremely limited. Has showed a good attitude since he has been with us, so hopefully it works out for him.

Definitely looks in good shape. Been working on cardio rather than size it seems. He could be a poor mans Chris Bosh next season.
So that's why they have Rondo.......it all makes sense now.
Actually think the key for the Lakers is what Lebron does on defence. If he is back to his best physically and carrying less 0f the offensive load with Davis providing assistance then he could be an absolute beast on defence like he was at Miami. If he is still often playing injured or lacking interest defensively like he has the last two seasons he is a liability on the defensive end.
In regard to 3 point shooting Anthony Davis could be a way better three point shooter than expected playing with Lebron. I watched a clip that said he shoots around 39% in catch and shoot situations off dribble penetration, but a much a lower percentage shooting 3's off the dribble. Davis is arguably (with the Greek Freak) in my view the best big man ever in terms of penetrating off the dribble. He often had the ball in his hands with the shot clock winding down in the games ive seen him play and that is when he seemed to put up long shots off the dribble. Id love to see how teams cover a two man game with Davis dribbling and LeBron setting screens and rolling to the hoop.
In the US media there is plenty of love for my new favourite substitute sports teacher looking dunk machine Alex Caruso. Dude works super hard and if there is a massive surprise packet from the taem I think it will be him. Would love for him to move past Rondo in the rotation and take his minutes. Just a way better more well rounded player who shot the three at 48% last year as well. Him and Green as the staring guards could potentially be a great long shooting duo. Not sure if they'll actually play LeBron at the point or simply have him be the primary ball handler when the ball goes over half court while defending the 3 spot like he done for most of his career.
