It's always funny when Port get ahead of themselves, and implode, but I'm not sure that this result isnt the worst thing for us.

Allows our spin doctors to claim last week as an aberration, and as the attention will be across town we can settle back into our nice cosy business as usual routine as our soft schedule guides us to a nice 6th to eighth finish.

None of the hard work gets done, we put that off to another day.

Our team needs more Fog and CEY...guys who can intimidate.

Sounds old fashioned but it's still footy.
Not old fashioned at all.
Soft ***** like Neil Craig and Campo try to convince us that intimidation is no longer relevant in today's game, but they are totally wrong.
Hawks and Brisbane were successful and one of the reasons was because they played this way.

Because he never left for money and if he stayed, it would not have came at the expense of Douglas and MacKay who would not be on huge money anyway.

We’d be pissing away in excess of $600k on those 2 liabilities. 2 draftees that don’t play a single game only costing us $150k would be of significantly more value than wasting games on those 2. I never spoke to him, so don’t know why he left. It is odd though that he’s on record as saying that he wanted to prove something to our coaches.

Is it just me but do Pyke and his coaches come across as thinking they are much better than they are. What are their great coaching achievements.

Could have everything to do with his end of season review. Every player would have one of those, even those who are staying.

Just tried to go over to the Port board. Couldnt quite make it. Melting before my eyes!!!
This game is likely to cost them finals.

After collapsing last year from a great position & probably blowing another season... not surprising they are melting.

Every game they play is a sunk opportunity, let alone their contracts...surely both delisted end of season.

Don’t know if anyone was thinking it, I was actually barracking for a Port win, or at least a close game. Brisbane win big means less chance of us having a top 4 spot.
We're not making top 4 regardless, Port losing does our finals chances a huge favour, so it makes the loss even sweeter.

Sadly I think this is true, particularly re Campo.

Comes across as extremely smug despite a history of failure when it counts.

Yeah Riciutto was soft. And now the Hawks have Stratton.

What was Lyons draft number?

We totally mismanaged him...and you know we did.

We are doing the same to Gallucci now
Lyons ?? Nah we didn't, we played him quite a bit and wanted to keep him.

We just paid him what he was worth
