Injuries hurting both states.

I'm thinking Keary and Reynolds in the halves for NSW with Walker on the bench as the utility.

Maloney and Cleary out with lack of form.

Teddy fullback, Fox and Furgo on the wing. Not sure who partners Latrell in the centers.

Forwards pretty much the same as last year apart from RCG and JDB.

For the caintoads.

Pongal FB, Oates and Gagai on the wings. Morgan and Chambers in the centers.

Munster and DCE in the halves.

Hunt at Hooker with maybe Milf at 14.

Hoping QLD will win, and wanted to put a small bet on them at $2+, however now when I look at the teams H2H on paper, it's a distinct advantage to NSW, Munster and Ponga and possibly Gagai are going to have to pull something out as the biggest attacking creative dangers for QLD, but when you look at the other side with guys like Cleary, Mitchell, Tedesco, Addo-Carr, Walker, I think NSW are going to put points on the board.

The only thing that gives the Maroons a chance is that it's QLD and it's SoO and it's at Suncorp so you can never rule them out, but they are definitely up against it in terms of player personnel, especially when captain Cherry-Evans hasn't even been playing. QLD also look to have more players playing outside their regular club positions. Looking at the benches, NSW run a lot deeper too.

Hard to cheer for Queensland? Peter Dutton, Pauline Hanson, Bob Katter, Matt Canavan, George Christensen, David Littleproud, Ian Macdonald, Stuart Robert, Amanda Stoker, Fraser Anning is a great line up.

Born in NSW :) And Qld is a large depression in the ground.

As a NSW and Raiders fan I am well versed in never being confident of a victory. Tonight is no exception. This is just the kind of match NSW is sensational at losing - all expectations on NSW, defending champions, Queensland with a captain with a maligned history at rep level, a coach under pressure, bookmakers favourites, no Inglis/Smith/Thurston/Slater/Cronk, Queensland teams not in great form at NRL level. Everything points to a NSW win - which is what makes me dread this and expect a 18 point loss.

Go the Blues!
I enjoy Origin, but want the Bunnies to come out unscathed, it’s already cost us the game against Parramatta.
