Poor old ScoMo and friends don't need any more bad news before the election in May 2019.

Sorry ScoMo, I dont think it gets any easier in 2019.

In February 2019, ScoMo gets the final Banking Royal Commission Report and Recommendations. What does he do with that?

Even without that report and resulting legislation, the credit crunch is real and house prices are dropping faster and faster. ABC TV The Business show reported tonight that the reported robust new car sales figures are bullshit. The economy may well be sliding in 2019.

What other perils will poor old ScoMo be facing in the first 5 months of 2019?

He won't be there for the majority of 2019. Conservatives welcome your new government

Shorten will go after those evangelicists fortunes.
He will tear scomo apart over when he ignored detalied reports into what went on, for his time in charge of aged care. Scomo won't hang around.

The Shorten years are going to great learning curves into how the ruling class operate.

The banking and child abuse royal comission nothing compared to what's coming.

We need to listen to what Shorten says as it will make a better and stronger Liberal party and thus a better Australia.

Shorten actually cares.

Pay $50 to attend a fundraiser headlined by a disgraced LNP party member and you can find out!

His next fundraiser will be on how to work remotley using the NBN.

Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert to headline fundraiser about the banking royal commission
Latika Bourke4 December 2018 — 12:30pm

Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert will headline a Liberal Party fundraiser that promises political donors an insight into the government's potential response to the banking royal commission.

The lunch, hosted by Liberal National Party backbencher Andrew Wallace, has been slammed by Labor as a crass attempt to capitalise on an explosive probe the Coalition had long opposed.

Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert and the flyer promoting his appearance at a fundraiser about the royal commission.

"It’s appalling and disgusting that after voting against a banking royal commission 26 times, Scott Morrison and the Liberals now want to make a profit out of it," shadow treasurer Chris Bowen said.

"It’s a sickening insult to the victims of banking misconduct who are still trying to put their lives back together."

A flyer promoting the event obtained by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age promises LNP donors the opportunity "to learn more about what ramifications may arise for the finance industry from the royal commission into misconduct in the banking, superannuation and financial services industry."

The lunch at the Lake Kawana Hotel on Queensland's Sunshine Coast has been set for December 19 and costs $50 per person.

Should be all plain sailing in the new year with the wrecker Turnbull out of the picture and economy turning for the good. Plus, people arent possibly going to elect a Shorten Labor Green CFMEU govt. Australians arent that stupid.

What alternative universe are you? Have you been watching too much of Counterpart? Or the Man in the High Castle?

I dunno, they voted the Abbott govt in.

If you want an example of how truly stupid Australians can be do a search of your posting history.

It’s going to be a landslide and hopefully ScoMo doesn’t stick around, but then he might get a normal job and ruin some other poor persons business that he’s put in charge of.

I thought as a Richmond supporter you might be a bit more circumspect in counting your chickens?

Poorer than expected economy, refusing to act on the banking RC and punting a federal ICAC are all going to hit him hard.

I also reckon there is a reasonable chance of another big data breach scandal.

Add to that a few heatwaves, bushfire season, then cyclone season followed by pressure from the centre right on the NEG and public desperation over their failure to act on climate change and complete coal fixation, looks like things may be a little rough.

The climate stuff and softening consumer spending are the big ones though.

I sure as hell am. I actually want to see unions wage wars against the privileged and tax cheats. There needs to be some ebb and flow all thanks to the 2014 persian budget. He should've bought war elephants and trained them here instead of buying those stupid planes built in america.

Counterpart is a very good show, hugely underrated.

Sadly, I think the Dec through May period might see some unpleasant climactic events.

You add that to the big protests coming in March and any opposition that is steadfast in promising action will have some real momentum behind it.

Growth for the quarter came in 0.6 under expectations.
If the economy is softening the surplus may be lesser than anticipated
I hope it doesn't, but indicators are suggesting a softening in consumer spending.

If it's a poorly performed holiday period that kills their whole economic message.

This surplus thing is dishonest in the extreme. We still have a huge deficit which has more than doubled in the time that the Liberal Party have been in power despite them declaring a budget emergency in opposition. We are going to run a small budget surplus this year which at a time when interest rates are as low as they are is pretty questionable outcome in itself.

Coming from the disastrous position they were handed it is quite miraculous they are bringing in a surplus. I still remember Wayne Swan after the Rudd/Gillard governments inherited a massive surplus announcing that people should judge him on his final budget after bringing in one deficit after another.
Whilst, this government itself is disastrous the budgetry position is reasonably healthy, the latter will change with a labor government.

While i appreciate your thoughts, reality politics is that you.will be disappointed by your government.
Its naive to think governments "care"
