As I said the other day...Tom Lynch is on the move.
**** the no KPF rule. Lock that mother ****** in. Hes gonna have a gun midfield shoving the ball down his throat 20 times a game.
Gonna be cheap too![]()
He's going to Hawthorn mate. Sorry. As I said the other day...
Lock him in as VC against the blues RD 1 next year. Will kick 10+ with Dusty hitting him up.
Been a bit of talk on here about rule changes, so here's my thoughts.
1. Start H2H matches from round 1. That means that two of the 3 bye rounds can be bye rounds in leagues. The non bye round can be the one where there are 7 matches. People going for overall can trade to their hearts content over these three rounds, but those going for league wins can save trades and get the players they want, instead of the players that best suit their bye structures (Howe/ Lloyd for example).
2. Maintain 30 trades, but only allow 26 for H2H rounds and another 4 for league finals. Might save a lot of people from themselves.
3. I've mentioned it before, but have a wildcard round. If carnage hits, activate your wildcard. You can make as many trades as you like that round, but they still come off your total of 30 for the year. Only one wildcard a year though.
From the point of view of the organizers it would help maintain interest a little longer for a larger number of people. But I don't care about league finals. Why should I be disadvantaged by having 4 of my trades withheld until Rd20?

But isn't the issue, the teams that get off to a a bad start ....by approx R6-R10, they've checked out of the comp, because they're too far behind .....probably in leagues as wellSo the people who burnt their 26 trades by Rd14 are going to remember to log back in to their team 6 weeks later because they have trades again?

Can we assume the weekly winners is an attempt to maintain interest ? ......but why allow new teams to be submitted & win .....seems self defeating
I reckon weekly winners should be for "existing" teams .....reward loyalty & persistenceBecause there aren't enough wife's teams already?![]()
Unlimited trades.
Literally unlimited.
They would destroy the integrity of the game but think about all the hookers and coke they could have![]()

Absolutely agree with this but there is more chance of Relton Roberts winning the brownlow than there is of this happening. The HUN was actually promoting it in the first 12 weeks encouraging people to enter teams to try and win the weekly prize during the bye rounds. The more teams entered, the more traffic.Totally agree that you should only be able to win a weekly prize if your team was complete before Round1

And what % of these new teams do you think are the "wife" teams of people who are already playing from the start?
Hopefully with Melbourne in contention, Baker will not be sighted. We can take Bonar, Abbott, Starcevich, Freeman off our lists for next year assuming CD will start them all at $250K+ next season even if they only play the one game...
