Are you new?

Get yourself sorted out :moustache:.
My Teams finished on Super Elites Team Picker ....they don't chuck a wobbly if you're overspent

So I have my team, just have to find savings to get under budget :moustache: .....then I can complete the Team Proper

Lots of people assuming every GCS recruit will get games. Not all of Murdoch, Burgess, Ellis, McLennan, Horlin-Smith, Rankine, Hombsch, Collins + Wigg (not a new recruit) get a game.

B: Hombsch, Thompson, Harbrow
HB: Hanley, Collins, Bowes
C: Fiorini, Miles, Weller
HF: Ainsworth, Wright, Murdoch
F: Sexton, Martin, Martin
Foll: Witts, Miller, Swallow
Bench: Brodie, Lemmens, Holman, Joyce

Day, Macpherson, Rischitelli, Corbett, Burgess, Ellis, Rankine, King, Horlin-Smith, Wigg, Crossley, Ballard etc all depth to start the year. Leslie injured. Rankine, Corbett and Burgess to get a chance at some stage but not necessarily from the get go.

Would be the worst rd1 side ever.

Excluding Ablett and pendles, they seem to average 110 to 120.
My current position:
Macrae: not selected as cheaper mids can achieve this.
Dangerfield: selected, no cheaper forwards will achieve this.
Gawn and Grundy: unsure. Possible cheaper rucks achieve this.
Starting Grundy or not is my real dilemma
Im in the same boat as you.

Thoughts on this change kents?

I had J. Kelly at M3, Gresham/Parfitt at F3, Setterfield F4.

Traded J. Kelly down to Miles now at M5, Gresham/Parfitt up to Wingard, and Setterfield up to Tom J Lynch strengthening up the forwards.

I think Lynch will end up averaging ~95 after the bye, will start slowly though, still just jogging at training.
Will be looking at him as a potentially cheap rookie upgrade after about round 7-8

Will Dew play him?

My 22 would be

Harbrow Thompson Ballard
Hanley Collins Weller
Ainsworth Bowes Fiorini
Martin Day Corbett
Sexton Wright Macpherson

Witts / Miller / Swallow

Brodie Rankine Murdoch Miles

E: Ah Chee Hombsch Holman

Lukosius, King, GHS, Joyce, Young the next up.

Agree that the recruits aren't guaranteed games. I think Corbett will play though. We got outworked way to easily in the forward half last year. He will bolster that. Was also named as one of the impressive guys in the first match sim.

Will expect some of the young guys to become our prime movers
Fiorini, Jack Bowes, Brodie
Swallow, Miles, Miller the solid B graders
Jack Martin to play more midfield as well apparently.

Bowes in particular I think in line for a break out year - will play vast majority of his time as a midfielder. High draft pick pedigree.
Played exclusively middle after essentially playing as a back flanker before he was injured in round 13.
Had a nice little finish to the year. Would be giving him serious consideration as a defender if he was listed (can't believe he is mid only) - doesn't seem right.

Will Dew play him?

Not really sure what Dew thinks of Miles,
My concern is that he is basically the same player as Brodie, Miller & Swallow.

The reason Jarryd Lyons & Brodie earlier in the year were out of favour was bad defensive running habits/abilities.
If Miles has that aspect to his game he is certainly a better shot of getting picked. - I haven't watched enough of him at Richmond to really know.

I would say locks for our midfield group are Swallow, Miller, Fiorini & Bowes with a yet to be determined amount of time for Jack Martin. They are keen to get Ainsworth and Weller up on the wings as well.

Brodie & Miles would be in the mix think but could see one of them not getting picked.
Miles was the last player picked in my 'best 22' - I'd play Brodie ahead of him if I was the coach.

Miles is slower than the average player but never stops running.
His whole family are long distance running freaks. His uncle ran in the 1500m in the Olympics a couple times.

He never used to get a game because he was competing for Cotchin's spot, he's one paced, and he wasn't a goalkicker.
Just lacks X factor, solid foot soldier.

Bowes does have potential, but nominating him as your starting Centre with Miles last on the bench is straight out of the Stuart Dew school of treating your best inside players like shit. Poor Miles, has no idea that he's going to be treated even worse than Barlow and Lyons were.

Yep. Hard to pick him when Libba is 40k cheaper and gonna get a game

Matt Crouch ($551,300, Mid)

The poster boy for no-stress consistency. After missing a few weeks with a hamstring strain early last season Crouch motored home, averaging 110 points over the final nine rounds, matching his average from the year before. But an injury-affected game and a bit of a slow start means he is priced about 10 points (and $40,000) under that. Not the most exciting player in the comp but will deliver every week

Rory Sloane ($524,300, Mid)

Another strong finisher after a foot injury cost him 10 weeks on the sidelines. Sloane scored 111, 109 and 110 in his final three games and will be leading the charge as the Crows try to surge back up the ladder after signing a five-year contract late last year. Good value for a player who averaged at least 105 points a game every year from 2012-17.

Brad Crouch ($418,000, Mid)

Crouch didn’t play a game last year due to a groin injury but has SuperCoach scoring potential is clear — in 2017 he scored eight 100-plus scores on the way to a 96 average and at age 25 he’s just entering his prime. A big risk — he has suffered another injury setback this pre-season — but the reward could be worth it

Shane McAdam ($123,900, Fwd)

The exciting 23-year-old forward could be the Liam Ryan of 2019. Carlton had access to him as one of its pre-draft mature-age priority selections but traded him to the Crows as part of the Mitch McGovern deal. McAdam kicked 31 goals playing for Sturt in the SANFL last year and averaged 77 points a game.

Ned McHenry ($139,800, Mid-Fwd)

McHenry was likened to Tiger Jack Higgins before the draft but that might have more to do with his personality than his SuperCoach potential. Having said that, the lively forward averaged a huge 10.8 tackles a game (ranked No.1) in the under-18 championships, and 21 disposals and five clearances in eight games for the Geelong Falcons. One to watch in the pre-season.

Really ....the article didn't add much more to what we already knew

No. Midpricers are yuck.

I'm not picking anyone over 200k from the GC after how Dew shat on Starlow.
