AFL Prospectus - anyone ever bought it / is it good?
Whole host of info .....but really too much to digest ...and frankly SuperStats is enough

Here's some excerpts re the Crows ( but please keep this information a secret)

Crows averaged 40.9 points from defensive half chains in 2017, which was 1st in the AFL. That fell to 30.3 last year, which was 14th, but was slightly inflated by the Cartlon game in which we scored 69 points from defensive half chains. Brodie Smith averaged 494 metres gained in 2017, the best defender in 2018 averaged 330 metres gained, which was Rory Laird.

We took 34% of our defensive midfield chains into the forward 50 last year, which was ranked last in the league.

We lost 148 games to best 22 players in 2018. We lost 120 combined in 2016 and 2017.

Jacobs attended the most ruck contests of any player in the league, but all numbers fell across the board. We had the 3rd worst clearance differential in the league and we lost the clearance count by 13+ in 5 matches last year, all against top 8 sides and only won one (I think that was the Geelong match).

We have the #1 rated defense, with Laird (general defender) and Smith (general defender) rated as "Elite", with Doedee (general defender), Milera (general defender), Keath (key defender) and Talia (key defender) rated "above average" (Elite is top 10% of position, above average is top 35%). Doedee was ranked as the 14th best "general defender", Talia was 14th for key defenders. Our attack is rated #2 and our midfield is #4. Seedsman was ranked as the 2nd best wingman in the AFL. Jacobs is the concern, ranked as the 14th best ruckman in the AFL.

Brad Crouch - Ranked 3rd for AFL player rating points at the Crows in wins in 2017. 2nd best at the club behind his brother for pre-clearance disposals and contested possessions.

Matt Crouch - Averages more disposals, contested possessions, clearances, centre clearances and score involvements per 100 minutes in his first 90 games that Tom Mitchell did. Only knock is he's not an offensive threat, kicking 12 goals since 2016, which is the 3rd fewest of the top 40 ball winners and his 44 score assists is the 5th fewest of that group.

Rory Laird - Only Matt Crouch and Tom Mitchell have more disposals than Laird since 2017, but Laird leads the league in possessions post clearance. Recorded 71 defensive half crumbs, 23 than the next best player in the league. Has a win rate of 51% in defensive 1-1's, which is the highest of the top 100 to be involved in a contest and his loss rate of 19% is the 10th best in that group.

Rory Sloane - Recorded the 5th highest contested possession rate of any midfielder in the AFL and ranked 3rd for pressure points. Attended his fewest centre clearances since 2015 due to CEY and Gibbs, but still rated "elite" for clearances and tackles, but rated "below average" for metres gained and uncontested possessions.
