Hibberd is going to be cheap. Had a significant drop in numbers last season. However play ok and did his job every week. I think Salem stole his points. With KK coming in and possibly going to a wing Salem will stay back. I hope he does as his ball use is excellent. So unless Hibberd does something amazing in pre season I’ll be staying away. Although looking at the pre season photos he’s in ripping nick.

Hibberd was as frustrating as players come in Supercoach last year. In saying that he definitely played his team role, just a shame it wasn’t a role that scored us points! Definitely won’t be picking him at the start of the season.

They weren't as valuable as field kicks, but players will now also lose that +1 given they no longer need to kick-to-self before playing on.

I believe the kick to self was deemed a short effective kick-in (1 point), and the play on after that is scored as a separate regular possession. They certainly only get a formal stat (e.g. a counted possession) from the play on but SC scores a range of things that aren't published in the core stats.
