Just out of curiosity, how many of your original starting premos are still on your playing list now?

I started with 13 premos, 5 of which are gone (GAJ Sloane Fyfe Goldy Greene)

Laird Lloyd Shaw Dusty Neale Gawn Franklin Walters survived.

Depends on your interpretation of a "premo ......but gone from my starting 22 are:

Sloane, Fyfe, Hibberd, Billings, Greene, Sicily ......all bar Hibberd & Billings, due to injury

Retained:
Forwards .....zero
Midfield .......three
Rucks ..........two
Defense .......one

Quite surprised at the numbers actually

Only 7 have survived... Yuck

It’s interesting to note just how many of our initial ‘keepers’ fail or get hit by injury so early on where barely half survive by the end. I wasted so many sideways trades early on it wasn’t funny. Total waste.

It was my fwd line that saw me drop like a lead balloon in one round ......Greene, Walters injured in the same round, combined with a 47 from Hogan ......IIRC it was less than 100 from 3 premo players

And that didn't include Billings & Hibberd's shit .....was playing catchup from that point
 
My 2018 starters
DEF: Laird, Lloyd, (Hibberd)
MID: Mitchell, Kelly, Parker, Cripps, Coniglio, (Fyfe)
RUCK: Gawn, Martin
FWD: Heeney, Smith, Billings, (Sicily)

Magically Billings stayed in probably due to my one eyed bias
Kelly did go out for Martin (ouch) but I did get him back in because he’s a sexy user of the ball. All in all a pretty good success rate which has saved me loads of trades.

An interesting one for next year I reckon will be Whitfield with possible defender status. Could he average 110 for us back on a wing?

Ouch. Thankfully I avoided the whole Hibberd Billings Petracca debacle.

I got hit hard in the mids (GAJ Sloane, later Fyfe, Macrae, Treloar) and forward line (Franklin Greene Walters) with LT injuries. Goldy was the only flop I turfed on my terms, the rest forced.

Not starting Titch in those early rounds when he exploded hurt pretty bad also. No Gogs or Lunchmeat also proved costly as I’d hoped both would fail but it never happened. They proved to be excellent buys.

Started with Laird, Oliver, Gawn, Goldy, Walters (not premo but sill there I guess) same with Toby, Devon and Savage.

Started with Kelly and Crouch and lost both early to injury
 
Midfield will be fun, just hope Danger is fwd.

Finding a balance will be key

It think its going to be quite the dilemma for our starting teams with players we are all going to want in our teams like Titch, Gawn, Grundy, Fyfe, Cripps.

Then u have more expensive than normal Laird and Lloyd in the backline.

Danger will also prob be a lock for most sides especially as a forward if he gets the status.

Obviously will depend ok the rookies as well but this year and been a great year for rookies actually, doubt we get this good of a batch again next year.

At this stage we have 5 players averaging 120+ with 1 averaging 130+ which is pretty unusual but not unprecedented. Over the past decade there have only been 2 years where more than 3 players have averaged 120+. In 2014 there were 5 including 2 averaging 130+, (GAj and Rocky), but the most was in 2012 when there were 6 averaging over 120 including GAj with 130+.

Yeah I was only thinking about this on the weekend, just how many of your starting premos fail.

I started with 13 "premos" and the only starting premos left in my side are.

Laird, Shaw
Titch, Cogs
Gawn
Lunchmeat, McLean

Started with Petracca, Billings, Goldy, Crouch (who I traded out twice :oops:), Dusty who were all unforced trade outs. Plus the common injury trade outs in Fyfe, Jelly and Sicily.
