Neale - Surely Zorko gets tagged at Brisbane; he's damaging and has a history of being susceptible to it.

Neale already almost full price. The only way his scoring will increase is if he spends more time on ground, his low 80s tog would often cost him points despite getting a **** ton of possies he would always be scaled down for some reason when off the ground. Compare to Titch who was always around 90% tog would often gain just for being on the ground.
Could Neale spend more tog at Brissy, or will CD stop robbing him inexplicably, who knows? But I would not be starting with him thats for sure as there seems to be a cap on his scoring.

Merrett 2.5 seasons out of the last 3 averaging 110+ (2016 111, 2017 109 2nd half of 2018 113), with just the first half of 2018 averaging 87 (including concussion 17). I know that's an extremely subjective way of looking at the figures but to me that represents a huge opportunity priced at 100 points to get a 110 player.

What’s his TOG hovered at historically?
Blokes who have similar enough prospects but will come cheaper are potentially there:
Zerrett, Crouch, Bont, Dusty, Sloane, Sir Zorko of the Dummy Spit e.g,
So not a must have, but Neale generally consistent and those blokes are handy to start as price doesn’t fluctuate as much, I guess.

If he's sub 170k he is a 65-75 point player and should have good job security.
6 out of 7 years he scored between 65-75 at Collingwood, only his 3rd year was out of that range. You wouldn't want to pay any more for him as his ceiling is very limited and especially at the Blues he's not scoring the higher end of 75 range etc but I think it's a reasonable look. Injury/health his only concern, not getting dropped.

Mate we all know as much as each other as we are all guessing at the end of the day. I was just adding my 2 cents since I started with Neale and despite a slow start and not high a average he was still on the top 10 scorers for the season as he had been for the 2 years prior so u cant go wrong picking him he just isnt a good value pick for mine since there a many good options as u mentioned and he seems to have a scoring ceiling lower than the true SPs a bit like Zerrett who also has a lower tog on average than the SPs

I found Whitfield a frustrating player to own this year... seemed to get r*ped a bit by CD at times

Agree with this. As someone who also started Neale, you know what you will get at the end of the year. But there will always be a chance to pick him up as he can have 30-35 possessions and still not ton.

If he goes for 75, he’d likely only net 100-150k as a stepping stone, so prob not worth it unless rookies don’t present in that scenario. Hope he goes well.
