Yeah, the double hip replacement amazed me ....that was never reported anywhere leading up to his Draft Year

Witherden was over-priced last year for a 2nd year player .....but Brisbane on the up, Witherden actually working hard on his fitness ..has to be a strong consideration
He had a double arthroscopic bilateral hip surgery. Whiting got it wrong.

Overrated IMHO. Is he being thought of as another of the more-midfield-minutes brigade that never eventuates as Ross banishes him to a back pocket.
Trapity-trapity-trap.
Would definitely have to be priced accordingly
****en Ross the campaigner

What do we think about Lobb this year?

Performed horribly after an interrupted PS. At Freo he's not going to be a ruckman, and can play as a roaming tall, but has F/R swing.

Worthwhile or will he be overpriced for the upside?
I hope there are better options ...but we'll need to start constructing teams & see where he and Westhoff sit, in regards to options

I also wonder whether Westhoff can maintain his scoring. Lycett isn't coming to Port to play 2nds, so they're clearly planning on playing Ryder & Lycett in the same side. Meaning Westhoff goes back to a role more like past seasons I imagine?

If they play Ryder / Lycett, which they will .....add Charlie Dixon forward, will they play Westhoff forward to make a 3 tall forward line ??? .....can he play wing as a 32 year old, in a game that's reputedly going to be quicker next year, with the rule changes ?

I can see Port being too slow next year !

Port are a strange one, plenty of talent but seem to struggle with any kind of consistency.

Westhoff as R/F is tempting, but there's definitely question marks over his role and scoring. He is traditionally durable though whilst Lobb isn't.

If you don’t have Danger locked in you may as well not bother putting a team in.
It'll only be the non-serious players who won't have him ....the auto-fill teams

The ONLY qualifier i'll put on that, will be his starting price  and where Geelong are going to play him

Imagine if he does a 3 - 4 week injury to delay his start to the season... chaos.
Not really, cause everyone will have the same chaos & nuetralize any damage

I mean more the differences in strategy it will cause. Do you take a midpricer and save some cash to swing Danger in ASAP? An extra rookie? A different premo and hope Danger drops to eventually get him?

Danger fit and firing ready for R1 is a pretty foolproof choice. He's almost certain to be #1 forward and still has upside in his scoring.

I feel he played injured a bit last year. Even if he spends chunks forward he has potential to average 130+. Look at his 2017. Averaged 136 and kicked 45 goals. There’s no way he’ll play permanent forward.

I have him locked in my basement...
so all your teams might suffer a bit

Dangerfield plays a crash & bash style of footy ....i noticed he had lost a bit a zip from the contest & a bit of strength ....he was getting caught last year & brought down, i hadn't seen that B4 as he's always been a beast you can't really tackle

Think I heard. Rumour he hurt his back fishing. Maybe it wasn’t a rumour and was in the media. Not sure. But didn’t look 100%

Didn't he do his Hamstring in the JLT? Would definitely have hindered him, didn't miss any games but clearly wasn't 100%

SUPERSTAR midfielder Patrick Dangerfield says he won’t push himself to play in Geelong’s season-opener against Melbourne, despite the club’s positive prognosis on the Brownlow Medallist’s hamstring injury.

Scans on Tuesday have revealed a “low-grade hamstring strain” for Dangerfield, who picked up the injury during Sunday’s JLT Community Series game against Essendon in Colac.
