I guess the question is whether at 21, his body is strong enough ?.....Grundy will play this year as a 24 YO & 103kgs ...English is still listed as being 87kg'sTom Campbell and Ruffhead gone, maybe they'll throw him in Fulltime same as pies did with Grundy
I think Trengove will be our #1 ruck while English probably comes in and out of the side. Boyd to give a chop out to either of them.
Where's Boyd at ? .......FF or Ruck ? .....he was Drafted as that big FF to allow the team to kick long with that bail-out kick .....it almost seems like the club is questioning this nowI think Trengove will be our #1 ruck while English probably comes in and out of the side. Boyd to give a chop out to either of them.
Who was your ruck last year?I think Trengove will be our #1 ruck while English probably comes in and out of the side. Boyd to give a chop out to either of them.
Could Fasolo be a decent stepping stone?

In 101 games he tonned up 14 times (A few massive 130+ scores, also scored in the 80s and 90s plenty of times)
If he scores as well up to the byes at Carlton as he did at the Pies in 2016 at the price he's at then he'd make plenty of cash and make a decent F6 up to the byes.
Or are Carlton too shit and Fasolo won't have enough opportunities to kick goals and hence score well?
Is there a reason I'm not seeing Sicily in many teams yet?
Is his preseason going to plan?

Was already up to 93-95-odd last I had seen and he displayed good ruck craft, disposal very good for a ruck and covers the ground well.I guess the question is whether at 21, his body is strong enough ?.....Grundy will play this year as a 24 YO & 103kgs ...English is still listed as being 87kg's
Yes that R2 is a very interesting strategy .....I've just gone back to Kruezer at R2Was already up to 93-95-odd last I had seen and he displayed good ruck craft, disposal very good for a ruck and covers the ground well.
For me, the use would be as a stepping stone, wouldn't to last the full year for it to work.
Heaps of options this year:
Grundy & Gawn: Potentially way ahead of pack but have to invest what, 1/7th of starting cap in two blokes (both VC/C-able, to be fair)?
Two of Naismith / English / Longer: Could see you drop 80-100 pts vs top duo per week until you can upgrade (assumes 85-odd avg vs 130), but you've got 800k-odd to invest more efficiently elsewhere. Would be gutsy.
One of G&G + one cheapie: Breed the cheapie up and get a sighter on your R2, grab him cheaper.
One of G&G + 2nd tier R2 (Goldy, Stef, ...): If gap Gawn <> your R2 is only 10-odd, you're ahead of the game, might be able to just stand pat.
Two second-tier rucks (Goldy / Stef / Nank): Might drop 30 or more / wk vs top two but frees up 60 pts worth of cash to invest elsewhere., wait and see if you want to upgrade around byes.
Etc.
Bloody interesting.

2018 --> 2019
All this talk of lack of rookies...pppfftttt..
All the rookie studs have plenty of potential...

This is the question that will define everyone's season I believe, I like 3/4 of those options. There are too many mid price options.
Liberatore, Viney, Birchall, B. Crouch, Roberton, Daniher. I am sure I have missed a few, how many of these guys can you pick? I can see merit for picking them all. So much upside.
