It’s very tempting to have all of Steele Taranto Sheed Rockliff Crouch in the same midfield. Sets you up big time elsewhere and if they all hit 100-105 up to the byes you’re laughing. 100k maximum for upgrades to top 8 mids. Add Libba and Walsh to that too.. (Don’t talk myself into it.. don’t talk myself into it)

Who’s everyone’s top 8 mids and what do you think they’ll average?

Given that only 2 of each of last year's top 8 mids (for the last 4 years) have made the top 8 the next season, my guess is that Macrae and Treloar and perhaps Cogs, (to defy the trend) will be the two/three that maintain their status. The top 8 for me should look something like this:

Macrae
Brayshaw
Treloar
Cogs
M. Crouch
Danger
Zerrett
Adams

Adams is my smoky to sneak into the top 8, when he gets back, as he should play full mid and is a former top 8 mid

I have Taranto, Crouch, Sheed, Rocky, Walsh and Libba, haha. But that's balanced by Bray and Treloar at the top end

Dusty? Yes/No? Surely with 6-6-6 even when he is thrown up forward he’ll be finding himself 1 on 1 which we would back him to win

Not too different to last year IMO.

Assume you're not including Danger:
Macrae, Cogs, Cripps, Oliver, Crouch, Merrett, one of the Pies (Sidey/Beams/Treloar), some bolter.

Too hard to estimate averages.
I'm going Macrae, Cogs, J Kelly, Oliver, Treloar, Cripps, Brayshaw, Gaff

Thoughts on Witts vs Goldy as R2? Witts seems a value pick for about 3k more.
Witts rucked against English and Allir Aliir in the pre season and scored 80/90. One isn't good and the other isn't even a ruckman. There is no form line there to suggest he's going to score well.

Too injury prone to warrant making a top list. See below:

Year Games Average
2013- 14 ..... 92.1
2014- 11 ...... 92.5
2016- 14 ...... 86.9
2017- 17 ...... 103.1
Yeah, I get that...Just thinking IF he could manage a full season

Geez people are harsh on Zerrett I tell ya. 117,117 and then 101, which was actually about 110 when you take out the concussion stuff. Whether you start him or not is another thing, but I’d comfortably say he’s a top 8 mid
You starting him?

The form line that suggests he'll score well is averaging 95 two years in a row in the real stuff. Can't take JLT too seriously or Jamie MacMillan is a lock D1
