IMO he'll get a good block of games, injury permitting .....just not sure how big a scoring rookie he'll be ?Griffin Logue not in many teams. Something I don't know? Was very keen on him.
Early days etc., but just doesn't seem to be in many sides.
Was locked in D5 for me JS won’t be the issue - Scoring ceiling is the question - Collins if named will be a better scorerGriffin Logue not in many teams. Something I don't know? Was very keen on him.

Yeah I'll probably end up with Fyfe tbh. You're right, he could go nuts and pump out 150sSimilar to Metapod's team in terms of structure. I like your team too. Longer is a pretty big risk, particularly because it'll be hard to move him on if he fails. I like the Smith and Kelly picks but much prefer Fyfe to Treloar, although i do understand avoiding Fyfe if you think he won't play a full season.
Personally my concern with not picking Fyfe is that if he starts the season on fire then most teams without him will want to get him in and then you've not only got the same risk of injury as you tried to avoid to start with but you've also missed his great run of scores to start the season. It also creates a dilemna because if you keep avoiding him due to durability question marks and he keeps pumping out huge scores you will find yourself further and further behind the pack. My conclusion is that it is safer to start with Fyfe and then trade him if he gets injured rather than going for a slightly inferior substitute who may be more durable.
All that said, im assuming Fyfe will increase his average from last season and score better than all the substitute options around his price. I obviously rate him very highly and thus will accept the injury risk. If you can find a quality substitute (Kelly/Oliver/Neale type) that scores better then kudos to you.
Oh snap, I forgot about my boy Jasper. Back to the drawing board...Have you replaced Pittard as your plonker of choice with Longer this year?
The only way I'll end up with Longer at R2 is if he has a ripper JLT and is the clear number 1 pick. He averaged 40 hitouts a game in 2017 and had a stretch of 12 games where he averaged ~90. The Saints obviously have a plan if they go and get rid of their current number 1 ruckman. I almost always go for 2 ultra premos in the rucks, so that's probably what I'll end up doing, but in saying that, I'm definitely open to the idea of taking a big risk, especially how the Witts pick worked out for some a couple years ago.Welcome back Steve
Like the side ....not sure about Longer at R2 ....only other comments is your Byes, 7 of what you may consider your 13 keepers you've named, have R14 bye

Backline: 3/1/4
Laird is Laird. Blakely a risk at D2 but I just really like him as a player and assuming he plays midfield I think he will comfortably will go 90+. Williams easy choice, should go 90+ as well. Roberton too good to pass up at that price and I feel gives me a bit of security to be a bit riskier with D2/3.
Mid: 5/0/5
I’ve had Libba in there for most of the pre-season, but a few little changes has allowed me to make him into Merrett. Cripps/Fyfe should go 1/2 as long as they are fit, Dusty underpriced and looking much fitter, Mcrouch should bounce back alongside the Crows and pump out big scores. Bennell looking tasty at training having a stalk of the freo board, hard to pass up if he’s playing round 1.
Ruck: 2/0/1
Nuff said, Preuss still scares me but i’ll keep these two until I have a reason not too.
Fwd: 3/1/4
Danger is an easy lock, Heeney not far behind for me, should just keep getting better and already a top forward. Chadwick becomes even more tasty with more mid time looming. Greene I consider as a keeper as long as he is right to go round 1.
Don't see a huge ceiling (min 150k price increase seems probable enough), just see potentially much better JS than a number of others doing the rounds.Scoring potential, or lack there of.
Nice side, especially considering you've found a way to squeeze in the top two rucks.View attachment 605793
Think I’m too heavy in the forwards now.
Miles is a inside player. His disposal lets him down at times and did get tagged out of both VFL finals that we lost. Although I think that he’d had enough of playing for Richmond reserves at that stageNice side, especially considering you've found a way to squeeze in the top two rucks.
Hope Hanley gets continuity, has had a wrecked wretched run.
You'll be a better judge in terms of Miles vs Hannebery vs Fruit and Nut Tattoo, do worry a bit about Dew, sometimes you get the feeling SuperCoach doesn't even factor in to his selection policy.
Do we really think clubs will both tagging any Gold Coast player this seasonMiles is a inside player. His disposal lets him down at times and did get tagged out of both VFL finals that we lost. Although I think that he’d had enough of playing for Richmond reserves at that stage
......if you're a monty to win, the opposition will simply play their gameThat does seem to be Richmond’s philosophy. Most SC mid guns score well against us.Do we really think clubs will both tagging any Gold Coast player this season......if you're a monty to win, the opposition will simply play their game
When you've been winning as many matches as you have .....why would you tagThat does seem to be Richmond’s philosophy. Most SC mid guns score well against us.
