Really want to pick Moore. Will take kick-ins and lots of them. Could go 80-85 if no injuries I think, maybe mo(o)re.
Considering as an alternative to guys like Williamson, Logue, Collins as well as guys like Hanley, Roberton.
At 9% ownership, he's probably not enough of a POD to actually take, but maybe that's all the other 'Pies supporters who can see it coming too?
Bunch of sick optimists.

Problem with this time of year is all of us emotionally charged supporters get Supercharged Hope and Irrational Belief that our players are miraculously going to overcome injuries, throw off past inefficiencies and basically become the gods that we want them to be!!
How cool is it to be human hey! :)

I know you're talking about a different role but..
scored >85 six times in his 50 game career

Not to mention the injuries obviously.
Pretty big leap of faith.
Good luck to those 9%!

I’m warming to him just quietly.

done a bit of board hopping and it seems like there are only half a dozen rookies that are backed for round 1.:poo:
whats the go when we have no rooks playing?...anyone have a mid madness back up team ready?
might have to prepare one just in case!
Everyone thinks that their teams fringe players are going to break out and there's no spots for the rookies / they aren't ready for AFL.
They are all wrong.
There will be plenty of rookie priced players, just like every other year.

haven't seen will hayes mentioned at all.
I'd never heard of him until I was looking at the Bulldogs board to see what role Dunkley might play.

He was named on the wing on a number of teams.
Guy won their reserves B+F 26 possessions with 10 contested, 23 years old, 117k - likely that hell get a game at some point you'd think.

CURTIS TAYLOR ($117,300, Mid-Fwd)

There’s plenty of mystery surrounding North Melbourne’s Round 1 team with a host of new faces in line to face Fremantle. While top draft pick Tarryn Thomas got all the headlines, fellow draftee Curtis Taylor looks well placed to make an early debut after impressing in pre-season training. “The match simulations have been good, I’ve felt pretty comfortable out there,” he told the club website. “That half-forward role is something that I’ve always played in the past, so it’s not something that’s too new to me.”

TOM NORTH ($123,900, Mid)

Fremantle needs midfielders and they could turn to untried Victorian North. Lachie Neale is no longer at the club and Connor Blakely is facing a long stint on the sidelines, and Adam Cerra is talking up his former Eastern Ranges teammate North to step up. “I have played with Tom since under-15s pretty much having grown up near him in Melbourne,” he said. “He is a big-bodied inside midfielder who has a knack of always finding the ball. He has a lot to show when he finally makes his debut I reckon.”

WILL SETTERFIELD ($144,900, Mid-Fwd)

The former Giant could be one of the most popular SuperCoach picks come Round 1 at just $144k and Blues great Kade Simpson is talking the former Giant up as the ideal midfield partner for Patrick Cripps. “He’s really impressive, really clean hands, similar to Cripps the way he’ll take the tackle and get his arms free to feed off to guys on the outside, that’s probably his big strength. Having him work with Crippa is going to be exciting,” Simpson told SEN. Setterfield is progressing well in his return from injury and should be ready to play in the JLT Series. That midfield-forward flexibility only adds to his value.

I always have a mid price team to start with and then when the rookies firm up they come in for mid pricers and I spend the extra cash.

Running with just 3 on field rookies at the moment but if prior years are a guide that will change through jlt and with week 1 teams

only 3 rooks on field!!!..must have a heap of midpricers.
as you say though, JLT will clear that up for ya.
FWIW I'm currently rolling with 7(bennell included).

Yep - only 6 recognised premiums though on the flipside (Bennell is one of my 3....)

My midfield is currently stacked with guys who I reckon will be mid-price forward keepers....if it stays like this I will have a lot to do to upgrade my mids through the year, but as I say all will change.....

I reckon rookies are actually looking pretty decent this year, lots of mature aged options who should be pushing for games
Collins, Burgess, Bennell, Hayes, Bewley, Constable, Hind, Gibbons, Fort, Setterfield, Cavarra, McAdams, Corbett, Parker
Before you even start to get into the batch of 18yo’s that pop up every year.
