I’m not sure about Markov’s inclusion though based on his decision-making in the JLT. It’s nice to be able to run all day but I’d have liked him to show more poise when he was near the ball.

I wouldn’t be upset if he was included because he is not necessarily a bad player, but I’d rather have a player like Balta that has the ability to split open Carlton’s defence even if it is only for a quarter with his size and strength.

It’s what we need against Collingwood’s defence the following week too IMO.
Forgot about Graham who replaces Markov

That is cute, trying to school me on set ups and tactics

Look a little deeper and you will realise that you had the lowest % of starting 6 6 6 last year than any other side 3.4 %:)
Yes we did but also the highest 7-6-5 set up which is the next best thing to 6-6-6 but like i said keep believing it was only the tigers setting behind the ball.

So in regards to rules, how are Carlton going to set up when teams are giving you a reaming with Bolton unable to send multiple numbers down back to limit the damage.

They are completely legit. The Dusty push off is annoying as ****! And when he does it, he giggles to himself like a schoolgirl. I try to pretend it doesn’t bother me, but I may break his wrist some day...

The streamers are just as bad. I drive a hummer. Do you know how many streamers it takes to completely cover a car that big?! And I mean cover! You cannot see the car at all under all the streamers. It takes 6 wheely bins to get rid of them.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. These two are ****en menaces!
So TheCoach16,
Do you have an evil pay back plan for these two people that menace you?

lmao i love this shit

you do realise you didnt cop more absolute pastings last year because you put 2 extras back at times?

the new rules will have a much bigger affect on your team than it will on ours

good luck to your defence having to play 1v1 on Riewoldt, Lynch, Rioli, Butler, Dusty, Higgins, etc
I think the 6 6 6 will suit us over the course of the year

Will also be interesting how you use Dusty, predominantly forward or in the guts, given you rated 18th last year for clearances differential

As for scoring shots, I am looking forward to what you lot do with the new rules, no more starting with your forwards on the back of the square or a +1
I am looking forward to what you lot do with the new rules, no more flooding players behind the ball when the opposition has momentum.

What will happen late in quarters/game when a fit unit like the Tigers starting running riot on a fatiguing bottom 4 side? How will you contain the momentum?

And please 7 6 5 is not the next best thing, in fact so far from it

Perhaps you need to read this before making unqualified statements and passing it off as fact

Doesnt matter how we use him, he will dominate regardless

we got belted 47-31 in clearances in JLT1 and still absolutely dismantled the dees untill they kicked some junk time goals to bring the score back

We have some of the best 1v1 defenders in the league, and as such we didnt use our spare in the 7-6-5 formation as an extra defender like you guys did, we used lambert to charge into the square and become an extra mid so dusty could creep forward..

not doing that as often wont hamper us much, as both JLT matches showed

Win the ball from centre bounces and have a 6 on 6 forward line, rather than competing with 8 or 7 defenders

I sleep exceptionally well, as I am clear where both sides are at. Us that has amassed talent over the last 3 years and you guys needing to back up 2017
Carlton amassed talent in 2005-2007 and won yet another wooden spoon last year.

Amassing talent means little if you don't know what to do with it.

Replacing Richmond with Carlton in a 'How we're going to be great again' manifest doesn't mean that it will happen either.

How about we don't use the JLT for evidence of what any team will be doing in the regular season, as it is like dancing with your sister

We didn't amass talent then, we gain 3 number 1 picks, while our inept recruiters had no idea of talent identification. From 2007 - 2014, only 2 players remain on our list from those combined drafts, Kreuzer and Cripps. Think over the last 3 years that has changed, dramatically

so youre trying to tell me that teams didnt try ANYTHING in the jlt that they will be doing for real?

are you that stupid?

brand new rules and only 2 games before the real shit starts, they absolutely tried things they will be implementing come the H&A season

If you think sides showed their hand, of what they will do with the 6 6 6 and kick ins, best you get a pencil and paper ready. Sides went through the motions with both aspects, that will change dramatically over the course of the year

Are you that brainwashed by the media dribble that you actually fail to see that EVERY SINGLE CLUB ran numbers behind the ball whether it was 7 v 6, 6 v 5, or whatever. If Richmond had a spare behind the ball then that means the opposing side had a spare somewhere on the ground, most likely down the other end of the ground in their defence. FMD how stupid are some people.
