Exactly, a few years back and a high profile recruit like that would have been under massive pressure from the expectations.
He’s not even our best forward. How good is that. Just play the role.

The side is starting to look exactly what I have wanted for many years. 4 decent talls forward of centre (Lynch, Riewoldt, Nankervis and Balta) decent pressuring small forwards, 3 decent tall defenders, and rebounding HBFs

Only thing left is a decent back up ruck (A mix of Balta and Lynch May help) and inside bulls. C’mon Caddy and Prestia, please become the mids that we think you can become.

Prestia already is there imo just needs a good run at it

Caddy is the one who hasn’t filled that potential yet but even if he dosent come on as a starting mid could see him playing a role similar to stringer as a forward who plays stints in the middle

The best thing about Lynch for us is he isn’t the messiah, he’s at the club to play a role.

Fully concur , that’s why he selected punt rd , not every day you saddle up i50 with a 3 x Coleman medalist

Not a bad full forward line, possibly the best ever seen in the game

Yeah he can, but I’ve hoped for him to become a bull inside player like what Cotchin and Martin are. Now, he does not have to be as good as them of course, but I hope he gives us something. You’re right about Prestia, he’s been good for us in the middle.

I remember the 3rd quarter of the JLT against Adelaide in 2017. The way Caddy and Prestia tore it up in the middle was mesmerising to watch. That’s what I want to see more of from Caddy.

Lynch isn’t a role player, but we are just easing him into the season and his position at the club.

It’s exactly why he chose us, he knew the big 4 would take the focus and we just won a premiership so he wouldn’t be a messiah figure.

At the pies he was gonna be a messiah. The hawks are past it and doing a Geelong and hanging on to their past glory.

We’re supporters. We can have whatever attitude we want. Saying that if ‘the players had this attitude we’d lose’ is like saying ‘if the players had the same kicking skills as you lot we’d lose’.
They’re the ones being paid to kick and have a good attitude to every game. Not us.
Yeah that’s obvious about we can say what we want, I’m just saying tone it down to some sort of sense. Not eight year old dribble. That’s my point.

Yeah agree
Caddy has the size to be that extra inside player we have craved for a while hopefully this is the year we get to see him unleashed in the middle

Well at least until Collier-Dawkins comes in

Don't forget guys, according to the Carltoon board, their 3 tall forwards (never could work out who the 3rd was) will really stretch us.
