Lloyd 35 disposal games are always ineffectual, of those I imagine not many would be score involvements.

Reid played well sans a couple of forgettable moments.

Future does not look promising for Grundy.
its not about his disposals its about how many 1 on 1's he loses that lead to goals. I stopped counting at 4.

clarke is not afl standard.

florent was really disappointing imo... if you want to be an afl player you need to consistently perform. "thats some real conversation for your arse"....
Florent played to his usual standard, ie got physcially overwhelmed as usual. I don't think he'll be in the team come end of year. Just goes missing - can't impact a contest, can't tackle, doesn't have the legs to use his speed after 10 mins onfield. If you look at just about every other team - the guy taking up his spot - well I'd just take them over him for the most part.

I’m still backing Florent to take a step up this year.

For me, the biggest disappointment Jones’ first half. Just dumb football.

This is also the year a certain poster will be right about Grundy.

Happy we fought back second half. But you're not winning many games playing like that in the first half. Just not good enough and you can't get away with playing 20 minutes of good footy each game.

Dogs played well. Can't help but feel a better side would've put us to bed earlier though.
Disagree. They were ordinary. The result flattered us. Allir and Macca helped prevent a slaughter. 2A must not ruck. He was clueless.

The forward line was disorganised and our fwd entries worse.

Melican was not competitive and Haywood little better.

Could be a long season.

Cannot bear the thought of watching a disengenuous Horse presser.

He was never going to be good as a defender in a one on one contest. When the coaches moved him to defence and obviously put other players under instruction to give him the ball, the intent is for him to get us out of defence and launch a counter attack, similar to Malceski back in the day.

The issue is that even in the rebounding role assigned to him he's not effective in putting us in dangerous positions which is a big net negative for us.

Would be nice if Clarke got some time in the centre as well. He was an elite clearance player as a junior.
He was around the contest a lot - not at centre clearances though. Did some hard running for us at times and provided an outlet. Not as good as his last JLT game but provides us with an option around the contest when the system works. I don't think they believe he's got the physical presence to play at centre bounce - but he does have a bit more nous as to where to be so might be an option.

Malceski could also defend. His kicking did the talking. Lloyd is a runner and a chip kicker full stopo. He offers nothing more. We should of traded him.

I would like to say that that was a good game and that we played well, going by the score board. But....

GOAL LESS QUARTERS!? **** ME!!!!! That is SO unacceptable

BTW, how do you spell goal less? Someone at the swans should be able to tell me because we seem to do it ALL THE ******* TIME! It's like it must be a a Mantra for our team.

The good...
- Jones was great in that last half, as was Allir (hmm that spelling doesn't look right). ****, I'm going to have to call him A2
- Hayward kept me in the goal kicking comp
- McVeigh keeps on ticking away and still has value to this team
- It wasn't a bad loss. Just one REALLY shit quarter
- Aside from "the quarter that shall never be repeated", ie Q2, we only lost because of a few 50/50's in that last quarter that didn't go our way (there was about 3). But there's a reason why we lost those 50/50's and that is just... FOOTBALL (ie decision making. e.g. Clark, Mills, and whoever handballed that ball to Jones under pressure)
- Great to see Reid having a good game, where he belongs permanently in the forward line. Welcome back.
- Our structures looked OK, and I kinda get Grundy being pushed up the ground to create a few plays. I thought he was solid down back too.
- I can't remember the first half
- Nothing wrong with the game plan

The Bad...
- Sinkers needs to learn to tap better when in advantage. There were many times tonight where he had the advantage due to an off centre bounce and did not capitalise on his taps. This is pretty basic stuff. Stop laying it at your feet.
- We went to Buddy a few times when there were better options streaming forward. But why wouldn't you?
- Below the legs rule was not applied correctly and needs looking at
- Aliens, please return my JPK :(
- Too little too late from some of our senior brigade
- Kick ins need work
- I can't remember the first half

Summary...
A good effort on the road, let down by one quarter. Which I guess is really unacceptable.
In the words of MKR... Sydney Swans, I score you (pause for dramatic effect), a 6 out of 10

While I think Cunningham could have covered his spot if they were going to give us a 2nd pick for him...Lloyd was hardly the problem tonight though. Nothing wrong with chip kicks if you keep the ball. See Clarkson for example.

Buddy is not fit. Cannot sustain a 20.m run.

At the moment I could not name name a best player list. We had a handful of fair players but most were still sunning themselves on a beach somewhere. Some like Melican seem to have spent the summer in an isolation cell . If he is the future, sign Reg for another five years.

Clarke cost us the game.
That is exactly what I thought. But that's football. There were two other incidents after that by Mills not going in for the ball, and a handball to Jones under pressure from someone I can not recall, that were just as costly. Can't blame Clark
