If you're all trying to work out why Stack got dropped ahead of the other small forwards, check out the tackle stats from last week for our small forwards.

George had 6.
Bolton 5.
Rioli 2.
Stack 0.

Watch him go back to the VFL and tackle like a madman.
Towner will show him the way.

How’d it be being a kid playing VFL against the tigers this week looking for an easy kick.
Towner, Stack, KMac, Pickett, Morris..... yeah... na.

Did anyone notice the bench

yes the bench did it escape anyone's notice.

That is right the bench is firmly planted on the MCG

Our fortress MCG, which will be cold wet and possibly a very wild environment, well at least in the stands.

The Westcoke druggies may be flying high on their dry billiard table top they play out on the edge of the western desert.

But this is Victoria, and we are the boys from the MCG.

It is going to be hard cold Victorian style football, they are clueless to this type of game.

No matter how many psychology games they will employ to make the Westcoke players forget about the above each and every Westcoker player deep down

know they faded badly against Adelaide at home last week and this Sunday they cannot rely to the customary degree of help from the umpires like they are use to.

No matter how many head games they play and they will be playing them, the Westcoker Druggies deep down know they are going to be put to the sword.

Lol why even melt, Stack will most probably be back next week against the Lions.

Maybe the kid needs a rest? Maybe there’s a method to their madness?

This selection committee has gotten us a flag in 2017, had us in a preliminary final in 2018 and gotten us into a spot where we’re fighting for a top 4 spot despite a s**t year with injuries, how about you all have a little faith?

match committee became questionable after they recruited KiwiTiger this year

Pleased with the change.
A reversal of last week.
Dusty was a last minute out and Stack replaced last week.

Stack is a better defender than Baker and Baker is a better forward than Stack.

Not really sure why we have been pursuing this experiment.
Keeping our nose dry for finals?

The lucky one in all of this is Chol.
He's gonna want to make some more impact this week.

starting to worry about taking chol into finals. he could play really well but he could also get 3 disposals and do nothing and get pushed off the ball in the heat of finals. i wonder if we will see how soldo goes against a flag contender on sunday and try Nankoldo next week instead

People really need to stop worrying.
You think Stack didn't know he was going to get dropped and maybe spend some time in the VFL to work on a few things? Club would not have blindsided him on this.

I posted to a few on here that I trust very early on the season to look for Balta to be dropped soon and watch him play in the VFL in the backline. He knew well in advance when his time would have been up. Regardless of how well he played he was going to the VFL to learn a new craft. Only thing that kept Balta a little longer in the AFL than he should of was all our injuries.

I really think the same has happened to Stack. This is a pre scheduled time in the VFL to work on something and not necessarily form based.

There’s a few ways of looking at it and you outlined one that being if a bloke having a season like that is dropped it spells out clearly how well you have to maintain form to keep a spot.
And it will drive him to greater success.
True, but if we’re basing it off recent form then Bolton, Butler, Rioli and Caddy all go before Stack.

fu** me dead, anyone would think it's 2016 judging by the tears in this thread.
30 years of the club not having a clue is hard to get over when they finally get it.
You hang a guy for 1 average game?
While others get repeated chances to get into form?

Here is the story on tackle counts for the season so far...

It's not just tackle numbers but also the pressure rating which is different to the pressure acts stats that we see.

Does anyone know the nature of Nankervis' injury.

This is bigger than Stack being given a rest.
They mentioned on social media that he was constantly stretching his back this morning so could have been a bit stiff

Dustin is probably our best player in 40 years, has to return.
They have decided not to omit a defender, it has to be a small forward, have no issues with Stack being dropped.
WC will probably try to gain a quick start to silence the crowd.
I hope our fans are in full voice.
Hope to see a more aggressive style from Soldo, hit their mids hard like Nank does.
