Most organisation HR or whatever they call themselves today, run the public voice. they dictate the tone and speech,

We have an HR group but they are dedicated to all things personnel - hiring, firing, oh and who can forget the latest "on-boarding" etc. Our external messaging is done by a specialist media department - in the old days were called Public Relations, now have some fancy buzz word in their title.

After the Tippert saga, the Club reduces the powers of the CEO and placed what some would call a board overwatch on the Football department.
A lot of people missed the changes due there focus on witch hunts, at the time I was in two minds I like the Board having an overwatch function but did not like the change in responsibilities and how much power that gave them in the day to day running of the club, and we are suffering today because of it. Unfortunately like today, people are into witch hunts rather than fixing the issue/Problems.
As for Fagan, he is doing a reasonable job in the area he can actually influenze without interferance.

Governance would not allow what you have just said is fact

Might want to have a look on ASIC's website, the Board work as a whole not individually, its the only way for governance to work effectively

The board clearly meet at certain times and vote on issues, the CEO at $600K will be given certain responsibilities, one of which is too make recommendations on issues that he doesnt have authority over, the board are totally reliant on the CEO for his reports of the entire operation of the business and his recommendations, without a competent CEO the organisation is screwed.

Then the board need to make the right decisions, not Chapman Roo Ellis Jamieson individually its a whole, pointing the finger at individuals on a board is tinfoil hat rubbish, simply not how a board operates and if certain individuals did have so much control those other board members arent doing their job either, so the board as a whole should go

But the board isnt the members concern, only two of them its the AFL, due to the enormous debt the AFL back us on

I disagree with jenny61_99 on a lot of things, but I don't think it's fair to blame her for the club being such a shitshow.

What we need is for everyone (the media, supporters, etc) to go after Roo and Chapman like we did with Burton.

Chapman has already said he will see out his term, and I would bet the AFL will reappoint Roo at his term ending

My money is on Roo leaving before Chapman. Roo has shown he can crack under pressure, whereas "Teflon" Chapman is happy to throw others under the bus.

You looking at a corporation set up which is part of the Crows, And Fagan is the CEO,
But the Crows is also a football Club,
Tell me at most AFL clubs who make the decisions to hire and Fire the senior Coach, is it the CEO or the Club run Board.
The Crows board went One step further by also having the bigger say in hiring the Football managers High-performance managers, while also interfered in the day to day of the Football operations,
Not with the Financial or the corporate side of how the AFC Ltd is run, but the football side.

However the Board has and is changing, And we hope that will stop the board from interfering in the day to day one would hope so.

Roo will take a step back, He is upset about the Crows performance and about his part in it.
Hopefully, he will still stay on the board, but he needs to take note of the negative and Postive feedback he has received and improve. He made mistakes, but he is one person we need on the board, someone who bleeds for the club, just keep him away from the day to day.
