Sloaney has an absolute s&@ttonne to offer. Even when his days in the midfield are completely done he will be a menace up forward. One of the best overhead marks in the league for his size and a decent kick at goal too.

And I’ll love every second of it. I don’t mind us being a bottom 4 side if we are building something and developing kids. On the other hand, what we dished up the last 2 years while only putting the bare minimum of games into our youngsters. What a waste. How did Fog not get a season under his belt. Not to mention Jones who looked great when he did play. And Gooch looked pretty good toward the end of last year. So glad to see the end of Pyke. But if his fellow match selectors are still there then it’s hard to see much change.

Hawthorn do it every year with their 1-5 year players - i know a guide that has been part of it a couple of times and he told me Clarkson is brutal - pushes them incredibly hard and further than he thought he would. Also Clarkson is big on the history side of it and pushes the message of how tough the young guys did in WW2 and reminds them "they are just good at footy" not heroes.

We perhaps thought our "camp" may do something similar but it obviously failed big time.

The difference there is he's working them hard, but it's a bonding experience they can all share. It's not deliberately designed to break them down and turn them on each other.

Yep. Penny dropped for me this year. It will drop for you soon enough. You haven’t been paying attention. Giving excuses for what you have been seeing. We aren’t the team we were in 2017. The players we have aren’t that good anymore. Tex is cooked. He was utterly ordinary. I don’t care if he managed a few goals. He jumps and marks the ball once or twice and people are so shocked that it’s like he did it ten times more than he actually did. Watching him chase when the ball hits the ground is embarrassing. Was a top, top player once. He is finished.

Our list is the most deceptive in the AFL because on paper names like Lynch, Seedsman, Walker, Sloane, Laird, Gibbs, Smith are all considerably better on paper than in reality. Just like Jacobs, Betts, Jenkins, Douglas were at the beginning of this season.

Suns next year: Rankine, Luko, King, Rowell, Anderson. Yeah that list sucks.

Think people are under rating Freo, particulary if they Land Angus Brayshaw Plus they could have the dead cat bounce with a new coach.

Clear bottom 4 for me is Gold Coast, Sydney, North and StKilda.... who knows about Melbourne and if they'll bottle it again.

The Saints have a couple of big ins, they won’t finish bottom 2.

I think we are a very strong chance for bottom 4. We’ve lost a number of players, we’ve got untried juniors and even more untried juniors as our depth and we aren’t bringing players in.

I've seen a bit of that page in the past. The person running it would hardly be more than 16 years old, ends the majority of posts with an exclamation mark, 'tag a mate who supports Essendon!' etc.

Naa. I was smoking some good stuff before though. Thought we might even give the flag a shake if we could “just sneak” into the 8 in 2018. And after the bye this year, even though we had played terrible football, we were sitting pretty enough on the ladder that we just might give it a shake this year too..... lol. Yeah I was on the good stuff.

Watching the second half of that last Port game sobered me up once and for all I think. I dare anyone to watch the 2nd half of that showdown again and find any possible excuses for this group of deplorables. That they are anything other than a bottom 4 rabble of shit.

Fog avg's 2.2 goals a game including 5 against WCE and would rank 9th in league if he played 5 games.
