Josh Bruce (St Kilda)

The Western Bulldogs have a four-year deal on the table for Josh Bruce, but they haven’t been able to satisfy St Kilda just yet. The Dogs have offered Pick 32 for the key forward but the Saints haven’t accepted that. They want a Pick in the 20s and it is holding up the other deals they are trying to finalise before the deadline closes on Wednesday night

Alex Keath (Adelaide)

Another deal that has stalled this trade period. The Bulldogs want to keep a hold of Pick 13 and Pick 32 doesn’t look like being enough to land Josh Bruce. It might be enough to make the Bulldogs trade down from 13 to 18 — which St Kilda currently holds — or even consider a radical four-way deal that fell over on the weekend. The Dogs have offered Keath a three-year deal with a trigger for a fourth and are confident the deal will get done. But the clock is ticking.

Zak Jones (Sydney)

Another St Kilda trade target who is waiting for other dominoes to fall first. The Saints don’t have a pick between 18 and 76 right now and need to gain one from the Josh Bruce or Jack Steven trades to be in a position to secure Jones. Sydney wants a pick in the 20s for Jones and it could settle for 32 if that’s what the Saints get from the Western Bulldogs for Bruce.

Just give up 13 and be done with it Bulldogs. 13 for Bruce and Keath is a good deal, they can still get a decent kid with 32.

If they miss out on either if these guys then that is a massive fail for them this off season.

Yep. It sounds to me like the main conduit between the board and players was Burton and to a lesser extent Pyke, facilitated by Roo who is the football expert on the board. And this all makes sense because that's how a hierarchy should normally work.

The issue being Burton wasn't interested in hearing issues from the players, and of course this feedback roadblock prevented info from reaching the board, who consequently thought Burton was doing a good job. And Roo backed him up because they're mates
Hence, Roo is, as director of football, shite at it and his list manager selection is shite.

So theo doropoulos claiming nicks has the job and can bring 3 assistants with him - and Godden stays. What about Marty Mattner - the only line coach that held his end up at all this year - how does Gooden stay ffs
Godden was playing second fiddle to Campo. The review may have come out big in his favour

How many players could Godden run through midfield? Campo call.

So it seems the Bulldogs may be the ones holding everything up as they want Bruce and Keath and think it should only cost them their 2nd (Bruce) and 3rd round (Keath) picks.
Sign up Keath for 3 years & send them Hartigan for a 3rd rounder & they keep their 1st rounder.

All the pressure is on the Bulldogs. They have identified needs and puffed their chests out by offering Keath and Bruce decent coin. If both deals fall over, likely to be the difference between bottom half of the 8 and a tilt at the flag.

One wonders if the people that are the subject of the agitators dislike because of "jobs for the boys" are being served with the most "anti boy" (williams) you can get out of a bit of spite and indignation
Would hope so, no more gold passes here!

id love it if williams and his sister joined the club. aggressive and makes a statement that we will break the malaise that has set in. his work with younger players speaks for itself
Is he bringing Jackson Edwards back with him after taking him under his wing.

Williams would be the straw that broke the camel's back with me...don't want that unstable twit within a kilometre of our club.
