Either that or we have another pick swap happening that will get us a pick early enough to get McAsey. Pick 6 HAS to be the best available outside mid

Herald Sun also saying we are into McAsey for pick 6. IMO, Pick 6 has to be used on the best available talent. If we believe it's McAsey, then McAsey it is. We are very light on for key position players, and McAsey would fill a vital need anyway.

I have a sneaking suspicion our shitty outside form through the midfield may be more coaching related than personnel. I mean we have players who should be able to play that role.

If Nicks is serious about prioritising speed, which we lack, McAsey does NOT go to us at 6

Not really, both are skinny as hell. Both are reasonably fast. Dmac has played over 200 games, some say he was lucky. Let's call it 150 games then over many years. Would you be happy if pick 6* was only equal to that standard? I want more than that from an outside mid.
Yes Stephens will bulk up a little but like Dmac will never be a brute.

Stephens has a frame to build into and already has good development in his legs , he will fill out fine and be lean , wiry and strong .
Think Josh Kelly with a little more muscle definition in 3-4 years . D-Mac is a sticks and twigs .
