Its been a while since Gresham and Billings have been forwards.
Hind? Off the bench , wing or HBF.
Lonie, Long, Parker and Kent can fight it out none really playing at a level that makes them a lock.
Eh, I guess what I'm saying is I dont think we can/should play three talls.

I think we are getting closer to the processes undertaken by the Bullies and the Tigers before each winning the premiership the following year. Finish just above the bottom four, reshuffle assistants. All we need to do now is trade the Captain (Ross) to the GWS and the saints will come marching in. ;)

Rath was credited as the key plank in the Hawks going from the worst kicking side in 2004 – pre-Clarkson – to the best leading into and during their 2008 flag and the 2013-15 premiership three-peat.

St Kilda has poached highly-respected game trends guru David Rath from the AFL to head up its football program from next season.
The man who played a key role in Hawthorn’s premiership dynasty and led the AFL’s rules probe over the past two years will oversee the Saints’ coaching, leadership and game analysis departments.
It is a significant coup for the Saints as Rath is widely regarded as one of football’s smartest minds, having helped Hawks’ mastermind Alastair Clarkson evolve his game plan throughout their golden era.

He is one of a number of new off-field appointments for the Saints including ex-Hawthorn champion Jarryd Roughead, as football operations assistant, and ex-Kangaroos’ mental health and wellbeing expert Ben Robbins.
Former director of coaching Danny Sexton will take a new position in administration, while defensive coach Henry Playfair has joined Carlton.
Football operations manager Simon Lethlean, who has led the chase for Rath and Roughead’s signatures, said he welcomed Rath’s considerable game knowledge and premiership experience.

“I think he is absolutely a coup for the Saints to get someone of his quality to come to our program to assist in helping improve us and hunt down the success we are after,” Lethlean said.
“He has a very strong reputation within the industry given his strong club experience and also his influential AFL experience, in various roles including game analytics and coaching education.

The Saints are eyeing several big trade targets including Brad Hill (Fremantle), Zak Jones (Sydney), and Alex Keath (Adelaide). Jack Newnes and Josh Bruce could be on their way out.
Rath, who is considered an expert in game plans, data and analytics, said he was excited to return to club land after playing a key role at league headquarters.
“There is some real momentum, some good people getting involved, a good feel and a good positive energy around the place,” Rath said.
“I think just how it fitted my skill set, it became very attractive very quickly.”
Rath thanked the AFL for his time helping oversee a period of change in the game, introducing a raft of new rules at the end of last season.

Purple starting to talk positively about us in "sliding doors". Never thought I'd see the day.
Didn't Bassat do an interview with him a month or so ago?

I feel like Purple has been much more positive since then.

Am getting a feeling that Bassat is much more hands on than Summers, even if he doesn't do a heap of media. Reckon he's having a big influence.

I like it.

Us trading out Steven could be the "Deledio/Griffen to GWS" moment to spur the middle agers on to carrying this team.

What's the deal with this guy? Haven't heard him mentioned. Is that the Ben Robbins who used to play for Brissie and North?

We would have been better trading in Saints fans than letting Trout select players.

I made a random picker from Knightmare's list of draftee's over several drafts.
It assumed the first pick was well deliberated and picked our remaining picks randomly form players actually available at that pick.
Wasn't very clever, just as likely to pick a player that went as a Rookie in the second round.
It was completely random, so the fact that it was retrospective made no difference than if i'd run it during the draft.

The outcome was around the same , if not slightly better than our actual drafting.
I ran it again , and the same result.

Now if i'd actually made it smarter ,weighting the players Knightmare thought would go earlier, it would have smashed Trout out of the water.
