Saints have always had a connection with Ballarat as it was our zone many moons ago , maybe playing up there we can get a few to sign up again ?

There are still plenty of rusted on sainters in Ballarat. Left over from the '70's and 80's. We have a much stronger connection to the place than the WB. We missed our chance in Tassie. Let's not make the same mistake in Ballarat. Play an interstate club there once a year, preferably early in the year before the winter sets in.

Gap has widened quite significantly but we still have 8 days to bridge it, plus there will be a huge influx post Round 1. No concern just yet!

If we win our first two we catch up to last year IMO. I reckon last year, round 2 against North put a stop to many signing up.

We played the Roos on the 30th March last year. From the day after to the end of season we signed just a tick over 7100 members.

Can imagine that if we are 2-0 you can assume we'd be signing over 10,000. If we do start 2-0 I could see us getting very close to 50,000. Although it's very very unlikely we crack 50,000 even with a good year, we could get close!

My family and I have 6 memberships, ranging from 6-10 years. I fund them all. We are yet to renew and I am still undecided if I will.

My indecision is largely in protest. It's not that I don't support the club, I always have and always will. I'm not confident about the direction, I am concerned at the number of 'bad luck' stories that we seem to endure. One ounce of bad luck I can deal with, repeated incidents not so much. Everyone has their view, but in my eyes, too many incidents of bad luck is not exactly that, it is bad management, bad decision making - and that's the part I am finding it hard to support both financially and emotionally. I imagine I am not alone in my thinking.

My understanding was that petty much all those 7100 Mmebers were existing. Almost zero new members signed up after that .

Should we lose to GC on Sunday, given our injuries, and some extra backlash on the bad new re Hanners, Id expect a similar fallout unless we provide an upset victory ASAP.

Looking good v GCS on Sunday isnt just important on-field.
