I was going to do this calc but in the end......didn't get to it.

My hunch was it wasn't going to look great for us - I didn't realise we would be at the complete wrong end of the stick.

There isn't really a lot to be said about this stat - Bard has left us in a world of hurt and its going to take more than Shinboner spirit to see us through the next few years.

We have to hope like hell that TT and his fellow youthful mates progress.
Why is it such a bad position? Having young lists and being in a rebuild isn't beneficial and haven't proved to be successful.

Buckley really sticking it to Brad.
"Rhyce understands the Shinboner way... we've already seen improvement....players have embraced him..."

Surprised that Brady was there. I thought he couldn't do anything official with us until Dec?

He won about 14 of them so it'd be harsh to not invite him.

Only the players best 20 games count to final total, so you cant divide by 21 or 22

The ages of the places 6-11 in the count.

28, 31, 26, 28, 27, 33.

This is why we are a middle of the road team.

We've got quality older blokes but our 21-25's aren't doing enough. Our 21s and under look promising, but by the time that group are all playing consistently impactful AFL footy half of those oldies will be almost done.
We butchered the 2011-2015 drafts.
That’s your 21-25yo core.
Its so simple as to where the issues in our list lie.
Again the above is why there has been wholsale changes at the club.
Someone or some have messed up big time.

Spoke with Aaron Hall - is in a very good space now and was open. Had a few great moments with him.

Did he move quickly but into trouble like tables and other patrons?

I think he's talking to you.

I'm not a big fan of Ziebell's inconsistent performance, especially as our captain. But I really did like his final words during his speech to the rest of the group. Holding everyone accountable.

Indulge me if your will, self-review of predictions:

1-10: 9 out of 10
11-20: 9 out of 10
21-30: 7 out of 10
31-35: 2 out of 3; votes stopped at 33

That's a reasonable strikerate on groupings if I say so myself. I'd say any similarly interested observer on this board would've had a similar result suggesting B&F voting was fairly close to our general perception.

Hits:
Cunnington, Goldie, Polec, Hrovat, Taylor - exact spots

Misses:
Overrated Higgins, Simpkin, Larkey, Wright, Williams, Zurhaar

Underrated Dumont (surprising since I do rate him), Atley (greatly), LDU

My takeaway is as mentioned, our take on players was fairly close to the club's. Main surprise for me was how low Simpkin, Zurhaar and Larkey ranked.

Turner is a concern. I felt he was fulfilling instruction but a 13th place for a low stats role-player suggests he needs to find more strings to his bow or adapt to a changing role in some way.

He played every game (?) yet ranked below a 1st year player, a retiree who missed games and Atley who hardly set the world on fire.

I really have a good feeling about Shaw. Such a genuine bloke, the players will play for him no doubt. From the outer it always felt that Scott said all the right things as well, put all the great motivational posters on the walls at Arden street, but something was still missing. Just wasn't quite genuine for mine.

Apologies for the late report but had a great time at the Syd. It was the first I’ve been to and I would rate it as probably the best event I’ve attended. The players were very relaxed and approachable.

As reported Aaron Hall was really friendly, his wife is gorgeous and very friendly too. It was clearly a tough year for a variety of reasons but is looking great for next year.

Mason Wood said he wasn’t exactly sure how things would play out but he hoped to stay at North. I hope he does.

I spoke to Ben Jacobs briefly, he reckons he is feeling good and will be right for preseason although he didn’t seem to know specifically what the cause behind the symptoms was.

Bailey Scott was with JMac. He is surprisingly big. Bailey’s injury was probably worse than the club let on. JMac reckoned that he’d found it hard to break back into the team after missing with injury.

Jy was good fun and helped take a few photos for me.

Nick Rippon was next to us and he was great. The VFL part is run through pretty quick which is a shame for those guys. I reckon they deserve their own event. I told him I thought their B&F should get at least a rookie spot on the list and he thought it was a great idea.

While the responses were probably standard issue they were all very friendly. I also spoke to JZ, Higgo, Jed, Jasper and Jona Segal too who were all nice.

Thanks to Chad for the tickets and organising the player sponsorship. If you haven’t done it I thoroughly recommend getting on board.

Bailey Scott was with JMac. He is surprisingly big. Bailey had a 5cm rod..........

I wouldn't be taking out a full page advertisement over that.
