Thinking about this to sure up my round 13 bye.
Answerth to a rookie would happen in round 12, then the triple trade in round 13

Answerth + Hayes + Sheed + Hore
$191,400 + $201,300 + $460,000 + $390,000 = $1,242,700

Rookie + Rookie + Fyfe* + Gray**
$123,900 + $123,900 + $600,000 + $380,000 = $1,227,800

*Zerrett also an option
**Westhoff/Lycett are other options for R3/F7 cover

I find you usually have to sacrifice one of the bye rounds, and hope that your league oppo's do worse than you!

5/6/6 is a decent balance.

Plan to trade Hore for R12 premo and Stack/Walsh for both Lloyd/Neale (R13 premos) during the byes.

Just checked the byes again and am looking at the following: These numbers exclude all players in my team that are currently not playing eg: Scott, Bines, Moore and Drew.

Round 12 - Total 18 - Keepers 10 - Rookies 8
Round 13 - Total 17 - Keepers 11 - Rookies 6
Round 14 - Total 17 - Keepers 9 - Rookies 8

Looks like my meticulous, season long planning is looking good. Got $565k in the bank as well which adds flexibility

Same strat every year. Hold late bye rookies (Balta, Baker, Corbett) and load up on ages ago on the early round bye to survive the next two.

Have Tkelly who can switch with Dunkley, and Duursma switching with Answerth which helps a lot.

Have 19 in the first including Williams and need Hinge to play. Hayes tradable if required.

1950 avg = 5850

18 players + captain = 1900

Considering you are going to have a bunch of rookies playing each round, averaging over 100 per player across the byes is quite ambitious I would have thought?

And unless you blow 9 trades across the byes, I think most are copping donuts.

Counter that with weeks where you have 18+; lowest scores dont count
Capt 150 = 300
You only need 1650 from remaiming best 17 to get 1950 - so pretty gettable
