It’s the banged up body vs mind debate. Patton’s another knee away from retirement and I don’t think the twisting and turning in the forward line will do him any good.

I don’t think the million dollar price tag went down well with boyds team mates. If he changed teams he’d just be another bloke running around. We might get the best years out of him cheap.
Could be worth a shot, could be another jon hay. Although he certainly won’t be coming for a first round draft pick.

but he is the bash crash type of key forward I want playing next to Ben Brown.

With Taz turning 30 next year and Thompson arguably in his final year Id look at a key defender......Tomlinson at 26yo would be a good get.

It’s not super coach, A graders have got to want to come here.. we need to find diamonds in rough, in positions we are lacking.

We've never properly worked the draft in 10 years maybe excepting 2009 where Gibson walking gave us extra 2nd and 3rd rounders. What we did with the picks after that was another matter.

Since then we've never really proactively moved move players with trading currency in order to improve draft position.

Thompson goes again next year on current form, Tarrant has 3 years left, McKay is already in place to take a KPD spot, and Vickers-Willis will take Thompsons spot. Durdin? Who knows? It's not a massive issue.

Agree. A full return of Majak with his mid to late 2018 form would be tremendous. It would actually overload us with KPD options.

If he's as good as you rate him he'll get those elsewhere whether inside or outside the official cap.

And he can get them playing under a properly managed structured if he does.

Polec is our only genuine cash poaching and he's not going to exactly be a beacon to other blokes in the same situation as it stands.
