They have Moore , Ried , Wells , Goldsack , Dunne , Elliott , Greenwood most probably going - but who knowsThis is obviously false. Pies have no money to move with Grundy, Moore and De Goey all out on contract next year while Dogs have all their Tim Boyd cash to spend.

In pre-season I thought Paddy was looking fantastic and in my eyes had overtaken Bruce at that stage.Paddy played what, 3 good games where he showed a bit? Suggesting if he was fit he’d have overtaken Bruce flies in the face of the evidence we saw. If he wasn’t taken at #1 I doubt he would have had as many games as he had. He was always a work in progress but he never came close to looking as capable as Bruce.

Let's be positive.. what other choices do we have? cry that the sky is falling everyday for another month and half until the trade period has finished? I can be down on the saints as much as the next guy.. but I seriously believe the club is on the way up... new global brand sponsor; Roo returning to the club; Richo leaving; Roughhead joining; players nominating us; Ratten appoinment immenent; Ratten identify skills as an important area to fix asap; what is there not to like? yes the talk about Carlise, Jack and Bruce leaving is unfortunate, but I believe in the team have a cunning plan in place and is looking to execute it as soon as the trade period starts.. it may not all come to fruition.. because to get something good, you need to give up something good.. such is life.. bet your whole farm on the draft is not fool proof.. us Mccartin; demons Petracca for example.. and we have too young players as is who will be inconsistent, so the smart way to rebuild the list is to recruit experienced players with upside. Even Ryder is a huge upgrade on our reserve ruckman, and his mentorship will be invaluable to the development of Marshall. We haven't done much yet, we had a better performance with late picks and won a few more games but still lack high end players and have no plan to find them. We look like getting Hill who is probably just A grade but will lose Stuv and Bruce an A and B grade player. Not really seeing anything majorly better. Lost Richo who may or may not have been the major issue, kept Libba who has been there for a long time and was 2IC in our worst ever drafting era.
If you don’t think Brad Hill in for Josh Bruce (would effectively be a swap of picks) is a good move you’re blind.
Bruce doesn’t play if Max is ready for round 1. Can’t have King Bruce Membrey potentially Battle in the same forward 6.
And Hill solves a need for speed and foot skills.
Love Bruce for his heart and soul approach. But at 28 next year I’m happy to move him on so he can play finals and we can get a player to move us toward finals.
Come on Gringo it's ok to admit you just miss your old mates the usual suspectsI'm not having any kind of mental issues, I find the club frustrating and I voice it. It keeps me sane. My options are whinge about them or walk away. I stay and whinge.
It would not surprise me we get Phillips from Carlton for our back up ruck , because Carlton are said to be going after some ruckman from Sydney.+1. Grabbing Keath will allow Battle to go forward. Skunk, King and Battle sounds good to me. Bruce is much loved but is inconsistent so right time to trade the highest bidder and maximise his value .not to forget Marshall and Ryder can also pinch hit in the forward line

So, let's all be a little cheery and look forward to the silly/trade/draft season with hope and optimism rather than dread.

Super bad draft to do it in.Bruce Carlisle Steven. None leaving bother me. But I will judge this at the end of the trade period. I need a gun to feel comfortable.
you need to listen to SEN less.
Super bad draft to do it in.
I think its the thought of losing all three in the one trade period that's super concerning.Bruce Carlisle Steven. None leaving bother me. But I will judge this at the end of the trade period. I need a gun to feel comfortable.

they're trying to fix a list situation that will take years for the draft to fix and by that time we are back to looking for KPP stock again, we go on as we are and we don't really have a decent chance, something has to change drastically in the next 2 years.I want to be. I was actually being positive earlier today and thinking we'd escaped the carnage....then we just find new ways of making ourselves look dysfunctional again. If they just shut the fu** up and stop doing dumb things I can relax. I wish they'd just act normal for 10 minutes. I serious have no idea what they are trying to do.

One or two would be easier to stomach.

I personally can’t see us taking all these picks to the draft.I think its the thought of losing all three in the one trade period that's super concerning.

We will land Hill for the Bruce Pick.
Carlisle could land us Jones and Keith.
Steven could give us Constable and a pick.
We take 3 picks to the draft. 5/second rounder/ third rounder
That’s spit balling. I still think there is more to come from us. I don’t believe Ben King being truly out of our reach yet. Still a lot of water to go under the bridge with either crouch brother.
Ryder and I think Tomlinson to come aswell hopefully
Just trying to look out for a fellow sainter who is feeling the pain... Sometimes it's better to dwell on happier moments..I'm not having any kind of mental issues, I find the club frustrating and I voice it. It keeps me sane. My options are whinge about them or walk away. I stay and whinge.
