You would bloody well hope so. I just don’t think we are desirable.

Lots of options only guys would go hard at Giants are not next year the following

Whitfield .

Caldwell

There are lots would have a crack at next year

Cerra ( Freo )

Langdon ( Freo )

Martin ( Gold Coast )

Brayden Sier ( Collingwood )

They will always attract players similar to Richmond regardless of stature in the game. We are in a world of hurt unless on field we are on fire

I was kidding...hence the ;). Sadly this is true.
Carlisle was one of the few, probably because of his desperation to get out of there and pretty much any club would do. Although he didn’t go to the Hawks.

We just have to make ourselves more desirable. Moorabbin and it's development a great start. Happy competitive team and a well regarded coaching group are next. Hopefully happening as we speak....

I will be surprised if anymore players leave GWS at season end FA or otherwise. If we will finish bottom 4 we are a good chance to pick up Noah Anderson an elite mid. Would be great to have another ex Saints son playing back at the club, to include him with Brett Voss' s son and the Sudanese boy (key forward) it would make for a good draft year.
That would be my kind of draft!
Leave the 2020 1st for Bing.

Milney's son any chance?

If the Giants retain Coniglio and Kelly - it will come at a MASSIVE cost.

If that were to play out, then a couple of players that you mentioned should be on our radar.

Whitfield would be a fantastic acquisition for us. He uses the ball very well. He would be even more effective in the midfield, and even moreso if we had a quality ruckman. The only problem is Whitfield may not see us as a destination club. He may be a good fit for us - but we may not be a good fit for him.

Caldwell would be the perfect target. But he'd be locked in under a two year contract. I would throw the kitchen sink at someone like Tim Taranto, who really looks the goods. Had a good debut year last year, is taking massive strides this year, and could be a Nat Fyfe type player next year. We would have to offer him a lot, but I'd rather throw it at a promising young talent than a broken down hack (no offence Hanners).

Martin - Big NO. He is not the type of player we need. Martin is the cream on the cake. We are so far away from that type of player its not funny.

Cerra is much like Taranto. They are actually similar type players, its just that Cerra is a touch behind Taranto, actually no, he is a far way behind Taranto as far as exposed form goes, but he shows similar potential. I would be happy if we threw the kitchen sink at Cerra when the time comes.

Sier - Maybe. He'd be worth keeping an eye on. I would also throw James Harmes (Melbourne) in that basket. He is a really class player and a really good user of the footy.

Menagola - Geelong. I would consider targeting.

Toby McLean - Doggies. Would be worth asking the question.

have we any interest in will Lewis who certainly matched Hayden young at u15-u16 level ? He’s a massive saints fan and plays for Haleybury this year - not sure if is a member of stingrays?

Dean sits on our board and wants Noah to play with us badly.. whether we get a high enough pick is the question.

Yes he did he is on the Sandy Dragons list

He is a listed player, didn't get a gig Round 1 and they're not going to make many changes to a side that won by >100pts.
When the private school boys start playing APS/AGS then he will get his chance.
His second side is Parkdale in the VAFA

Needs to do a fair bit this year for consideration of father-son.

They'll be asking a hefty price for Bing.
2x 1st rounders with some change if were lucky. They'd know we'll pay what they ask.

I expect Ben King to make his way to St.Kilda eventually. I assume GC have already offered him 2 more years, but it hasn't been accepted.
Especially with Paul Conners/Robbie D'Orazio as his management, if anyone gets there players where they want to be, it's them.

King/King duo to dominate at St. Kilda for years to come.

Early days I know but Rowell/Anderson look like 1 and 2 at this stage. I think either is a pretty failsafe pick. Personally I would love to get Rowell, he has about as impressive a resume as any under ager has ever had.

Doubtful they will still be 1/2 at the end of the year. Players get injuries, play poorly and other players can get better. I can't think of a player who was touted as no.1 at the start of their draft year being selected at no.1. But, i have a crap memory.

Hey stavro#4 and Barrels is there something more to the demotion of Hanners from the leadership group...

"Focussing on Rehab" seems a bit rich is her is there training with others and expected back on the park in 4-6 weeks. I understand it with Robbo but Hanners?

Not sure how high he will go but Ryan Byrnes one to watch for us this year being a local boy. Captain of sandy dragons an absolute gun midfielder. Watch him rise this year.

Please tell me Noah is a mad Saints fan.....

Imagine we get a gun mid in 2019 with a top 10 pick, Bing in 2020 and Noah in 2021

I actually have no idea if he’s a Saints supporter. I’ll ask.
Noah is this years draft. Will go top 5, most likely a bit higher. He’s a gun. If we can get him and King 2020, I’m very comfortable we’ll win 6 to 7 consecutive flags.

Cheers. Yeah i realise he is this year's draft. What i was getting at is that if we couldn't get him this year we will grab him after 2 years at his minder club, Bing style (touch wood on both)
