inside mid who can go forward. we'd be crazy not list this bloke given the issues with the inside stuff. 13 tackles in a semi final. 32 disposals on the weekend.

22 years of age.

The numbers can be misleading. We would expect a Dunstan to pull big numbers at that level too but we don’t need another Dunstan. It’s more about the way they play and how they can complement the core crew we already have.

Not saying DeLuca is not good enough but Marlion kicked 4 goals in a WAFL final. He flys regularly for a high mark, has had a 30 possession 21 contested game playing in the guts, kicks goals, loves a tackle and has blistering pace.

We don’t actually need him to come in and get high numbers. We just need him to be an elite user of the ball. If he can spot people on the lead, kick to advantage, use his pace to escape congestion or apply defensive pressure and most importantly kick goals then he will fit right in.

And you just never know...if he is as good as Kelly then we can move Ross to a wing or release Gresham back into a half forward role.

Hayden Schloithe another who was rated as high as Tim Kelly in 2017. His profile in the link below.

Any of these 3 suggestions would help us! We'd be crazy to not take up the option of picking up a player with our injury list!
Personally i would prefer Marlion Pickett as he has all the attributes we currrently lack!

And if their are any quirks about his temperament, we should be strong enough to back our own system in, just like we have with Parker!
God knows we need some excitement factor on the list to compliment our blue collar hard working list!
I speak to God on a regular basis and he denies the allegation... Not really into AFL. Never played for Geelong.

More of an NFL follower. Big fan of Peyton Manning.

I hope we don’t go for an old fashion lumbering ruckman if we ditch Longer & Pierce.
I’d rather get a mobile 195cm guy e.g. Marsh that can get his own ground ball.

If we'd taken the suggestions of some of our posters over Trout and Pelican, we'd have much better side than we do. They might have an official job title but that's different from knowing more. It's like a guy who sells stamps compared to a stamp collector. Some guys are just there for the pay, they don't give a ****. The footy nerds on forums probably spend 15 hours a day jerking over stats and watching videos. Pretty sure Trout just hid in case someone realised he wasn't a recruiter.
If we'd taken suggestions from our posters the club would have folded 20 years ago.

Haven't you seen enough evidence from the StK FC recruiters over the years to understand that sometimes the perspective from

Who are you to think your opinion should be considered, i'm sure our recruiters know best!

They have clearly shown ad nauseam over the years, that they don't!
Two weeks ago we were 4-1 and they were looking like geniuses.

Who look like geniuses? Our past recruiting team?
That's all i was talking about re perspective of a fan as opposed to always blindly following the mantra that club knows best!

Nothing to do with being 4-1 or 4-3!

Your kidding right?
Surely our history of recruiting over the last 10 years plus shows that the powers at be during that time Wish they

Marlion Pickett (Swan Districts) - 27, 184cm 84kg: from flashy forward to midfield speedster. Averages 18.2 disposals. No questions over his ability.

Jye Bolton (Claremont) - 27, 187cm 84kg: fresh off his 2nd Sandover Medal. Huge ball-winner. Might be a touch too old for any long-term plans.

Luke Meadows (Box Hill) - 24, 185cm 86kg: moved from West Perth straight into the leadership group at Box Hill. Inside bull. Hawks would be all over him.
27 is not too old. It's the exact hole we have on our list..

Little piece on Biggy from last week. Spoke to a recruiter a little while ago that thinks he’ll make it. Exciting to see how he progresses over the coming months.
#24 Bigoa Nyuon

Stepped up rotating between ruck and forward and you just never know what you are going to get. He can create the unbelievable and then do the unthinkable, which is what makes him quite an entertaining prospect. He was able to hit the scoreboard after picking up a loose ball in attack following good pressure on an opponent, then was able to set up teammates inside 50 for goals as well. He did try and do too much at times like backing himself in from the pocket – which is good to see but he was out of position – rather than handballing into Ned Cahill who was 10 metres closer to goal in space, and then there was a 30m kick straight up in the air when up the other end. However his athleticism and ability to leap above others is without question and there is some serious talent there, it is just piecing it together.
Who does he play for at the moment?

And if Parker kicked straight we very well might have been 5 - 2.

The inches isn’t this game are killing us this year. We need to catch a break.

There's a reason certain people have jobs insiside the AFL system and the rest of us run the competition on a footy forum where we can't accidentally push the wrong buttons or switches.

Just saying...

You would naturally assume so yes! As it should be!
But i'm afraid looking at past administrations to do with the Saints or any any sporting team in some cases for that matter, makes you wonder!
Not to mention getting into some Businesses and Governments, just take a look at WHO is leading the free world atm!!

I love it how a lot of us say how poor our drafting is and then if you have a look at what other teams have done you just have to shake your head.

Sydney recruited Trippett on big money / did nothing - Menzel

Hawthorn recruited Vickery / Minchington

Port recruited Watts , Motlop 700k , Lycett 750k

Demons - Lever and Day on big money

Magpies - Wells 700k , Mayne 700k

Dogs - Cloke , Schache

Fremantle - McCarthy - Bennell and we thought Freeman was bad.

Blues - to many draft and cut to name

Tigers - Martin / signed on a million a year and now looks like a shadow of himself same can be said about Lynch - is he worth a million a year - last 3 games he has kicked 1 goal.

the list goes on

Agree. FWIW the official player ratings have him 33 overall and about 20 out of all mids. Higher than any of our players (Steven 42, Steele 53, Ross 68.)

Depressing looking at the player ratings actually, here's the number of players from other clubs above our number 1:

Collingwood 5
Fremantle 3
Geelong 3
GWS 3
Hawthorn 3
North Melbourne 3
Richmond 3
Sydney 3
West Coast 3
Adelaide 2
Brisbane 2
Bulldogs 2
Melbourne 2
Port Adelaide 2
Carlton 1
Essendon 1
Gold Coast 0

I guess we know this, but we're really only competing with Gold Coast and Carlton for worst list right now. Gold Coast's top ranked player is Witts at 82 then Swallow at 110, so they're clearly the worst list in the comp. Carlton have Cripps obviously but then no-one until Kade Simpson at 113. Essendon have a few more than us in the top 100.

My conclusion from this is if we can get Coniglio then clearly we take him. But I don't think we can.

Also that Hannebery desperately needs to get back to his best - currently 266, best 14. Not to mention Steven, currently 42, best 9. Ross is our next best, he's currently 68 but been as high as 39, which is clearly night and day different to the other two.

We also need Steele to hit the top 50 (currently 53) and Gresham (currently 73). And ideally some others to hit the top 100 - Webster (currently 166), Membrey (currently 174), Billings (currently 177), Carlisle (currently 205) are the most likely.

A lot of work to do.

They may have shown that but what people don’t realise is 30 people here give us 100 different names. Put the heat on one person here and see how it ends up. How many had Parker and Wilkie this year. We need to forget previous recruiting because it’s about now. It’s totally illogical that we probably pay way over a million dollars to many different recruiters if a guy on here can keep his full time job and still pick better than maybe 20 paid recruiters but if people want to volunteer let’s start up a thread where people put down just 4 or 5 names not 20 because that’s not how it works. Same as the mid season draft. Many names mentioned by many different people. I’m sure one will get a good one but nearly every will fail or not be picked up by any club let alone ours if we even use it. Anyone have Sidney stack?

What are we looking for again - oh that's right - an inside mid who can impact NOW and free up others to play in more preferred positions.

Last Saturday against WCE Reserves

"Attention AFL recruiters: Haiden Schloithe is still dominating in the WAFL.

The Sandover medallist was a class above his AFL-listed opponents and was at his brilliant best through the midfield with 26 disposals, six inside-50s, five tackles four score assists and a goal-of-the-week contender in the second term, when he side-stepped two opponents before banging it through from 40m out."

It’s called tunnel vision.

( Can add Mitch Clark and Steven May to your list too)

"The 22-year-old was delisted by St Kilda last year, before being claimed by Carlton with the first selection of the NAB AFL Rookie Draft last November.

He was best on ground in the Northern Blues' victory over North Melbourne at Ikon Park on Sunday, and is averaging 15.5 disposals and 6.8 marks per game throughout the first month of the VFL season."

Who does he play for at the moment?
Dandenong Stingrays. He should make Metro later on if he keeps his form up. The best thing so far, he’s played CHB last year and CHF + Ruck this year and the curtain raiser last year. Played all positions well. His upside is enormous. Still learning, but has the footy smarts and athletic ability a lot don’t possess.
