Reported on Fox tonight that 5 Vic clubs chasing him and Saints are one.
Also said he has put talks off to end of the year.
Arces for Langdon ?

I'd rather see Blacres and Langdon in RWB together.

Why would we give up a player who is still developing in an area of need? That's not making the list stronger IMO.

i am a massive fan of langdon. i wanted him since the champs when i watched him slot a nice goal from the pocket at leederville oval.

he would be an upgrade on sinclair. there's nothing fancy to him though. they just developed him into a good running winger. we should be able to do the same to someone like sinclair.

Langdon would end up playing as a ruck forward pocket if he came. Don't want to much flash in the team.

WTF!! No way would he forward pocket, for goodness sake aren’t we crying out for half back flankers? Surely he starts there. :D:D:D:p

Hmmmm did i somehow get redirected to the GOAT discussion thread?

Jeebus Georgie

You make me look like a dirty dobber!! :D

Unless is all goes downhill for Langlands for the rest of the year I think ATM they will give him another year.

Struggled last year after glandular fever, has starting midfield at Sandy this year until his concussion and was getting a bit of the ball.

Should get another look.
He was knocking on the door for a debut. Huge ceiling. He wont be going anywhere.

He has surprised me the most so far this year.

Slim pickings I guess?

Of that lot:
Ajang Ajang sounds like he'd be worth a try.
Jack Blair is a good height, but not really ready to play AFL. If we got him, it would be as a drafting strategy rather than genuine backup.
Eastland sounds good. Not sure but it sounds like he was a forward who managed some late growth to get ruck sized.
Knoll, 204cm 3 years of footy, since crossing from Basketball. 26YO, could come good, but will he be too old by then? Still don't mind this choice .
Sibbald NO
Strnadica is younger, and may be better than Pierce , based on WAFL results.
Swierzbiolek soccer convert who was playing local footy a year ago, going OK at Coburg. Could he become drastically better in an AFL system?

Since coming to RSEA Park, the youngster has modelled his developing game style off one of the most volatile and pacey midfielders in the business, club champion Jack Steven.

Armed with explosive pace, an ability to burst through stoppages and a knack for hitting the scoreboard, Langlands boasts qualities comparable to the four-time Trevor Barker Award winner.

No pressure Doulton.

triggering bro
From Age article on mid season draft medical. Our boy Frank Anderson.
On suspension! Got a bit of campaigner in him;)

Northern Blues midfielder Frank Anderson, who only last year was playing local football for South Croydon, has been asked to test. Anderson won't play again before the draft due to a recent suspension.

I just read this and came on here to share.
We'll probably be under them by that time but will we open up a spot. You would think so with Paddy so iffy.

I see a familiar name on this list of players who are going to have medical prior to the mid season draft.

Since we don't have a vacancy I can't see any of this being a consideration for us anyway.

Probably been asked and answered but I haven’t seen it....do we have any spots available for this draft?

Sorry for my part in all the work, George

Diehard - you wouldn't have noticed but I edited my post to include the fact that we don't currently have any vacancies.

I have no idea whether we can still list someone on the LTI list in the next week or so (Mccartin?) and then be entitled to go in the draft.

You’re right I didn’t! Obviously replied before you edited! Thanks anyway.
Will be very interesting to see if Paddy is listed or not.

Anybody know anything about Rupert Wills of Collingwood? See he is playing in the team tomorrow, being described as a big bodied mid that can get his hands on it and play an extractor role. Disposal has been called into question but he hasn't had a game at AFL for a couple of years.

He is OOC at the years end so if he gets a run of games and looks half decent it might be worth a punt for us, most likely as a depth player as we lack this type....when we inevitably end up not getting the A Graders we hope for :). Given the depth the Pies have unless he does something huge I can't see them offering another contract.

I vaguely remember him playing, I don't think he was anything special.
