I’ll be watching Essendon’s ladder position with interest. Currently for Shiel they paid pick 9 (2018) & pick 2 (2019) & received pick 29 (2019) & Shiel.

There was a time we were going to get pick 1 or 2 when Hawthorn was around the bottom of the ladder. Long way to go yet.

That translated into Long, Battle, then Clark.

Compare that to this year's intake of state league players, Parker, Wilkie, Young and Marsh, and although it's too soon to confirm, l reckon we may as well shut the book on taking foreign non footy players. It just seems a low return bet for the number of list-spot-years and other resources that's been tipped into them.

Unless they've changed it recently we can have a max of 40 on main list which then means we can have a max of 4 Cat A rookies and 2 Cat B rookies

I've been watching Josh Bruce for a few years now, and was curious whether you guys think the club would potentially trade him if the right offer came along? I figured with the constant improvement in Membrey, along with picking up Max King and Josh Battle in recent years (plus McCartin if he stops getting concussed) there may be potential for another club to pick him up. Any theories on his value too?
