From what I’m hearing. The vfl side is struggling due to a lack of tall forwards. Rowe King Paddy all not playing. Wilkie would of been pencilled in to be a regular had it not been for Roberton.
Yesterday’s result sucked. But I saw a lot I liked. Especially with our leadership to get the game back on our terms. We will need to be better going forward as we lacked runners behind the ball to break lines. So for me, I want to see a Hind get a chance.
Kent and Dunstan can get dropped for mine. Clark I thought did some good things and the pace of the game got him a few times. Acres and Sinclair on a final warning.
Billings and Gresh. When can we realistically talk about them as stars? Like do we need to see this for another 10 weeks for example?
That’s true at the moment but at least he has potential. Paddy may never play again . It was the worst year to have a number 1 pick . Look at last year - no debate about who to chose needed .Worst pick 1 selection? Maybe, but it's not like Petracca is lighting the world on fire either.
I reckon that's a little harsh on Gresham. For someone without much experience in the middle at this level I think he's had a very good start in there this year. He had a quiet second half against Gold Coast but has been very good other than that. Best on against the Bombers. In the coaches votes yesterday. His numbers are pretty good so far with 11 contested possessions and five clearances a game. Crucially he seems to have the ability to still kick goals from midfield. If he can get his disposals up a few more and push 25 per game whilst kicking 30 odd goals for the year, it'll be AA form.Billings 2019 form is star quality, probably lacks some self belief still, he's got to get into the match winner head space and he'll be elite. Gresham is still a bit of a mixed bag since going into the middle. His small forward form was tracking to be elite but the middle has him a bit up and down. Kent should definitely be out, looked like he greased his palms and wore roller skates yesterday. Young and Long are breathing down his neck.

We are getting there - Gresham will slowly get the tank required to be the mid we want , however we will have to wait on Hunter , to me he is still to light , Coffield will get there as well but the guys just need the time.Gresham was on his way to elite as a small forward, as a mid he's certainly not been poor. He's very good rather than elite. He will get better but he's not yet up with the best mids. I would back him to become a gun mid though.
The bloke is a ball butcher , i have hardly seen him hit a targetbrayden sier's out of contract at the end of the year.. I don't know much about him, could help us with the clearances, big boy, strong in the contest, pleasing etc..
averaged 10 CPs and 4 clearances per game in his rookie year last year
Max played in that game also. He played well and ended up with 2.2It was Ben playing along side Rankine and Luko in an AFL academy match versus the Norths ressies.

So you think he is a good kick ?Don’t agree with that assessment at all. Sier is exactly what we should be after but he’s exceptionally happy with the filth. Family all filth supporters... will be re-contracted by mid season.

The funny thing is first year players hardly play anyway. If you get a bargain and might miss one year but get 10 others why wouldn’t you.If we have #41 and he is available, sure, why not?
We have a first rounder then nothing until the fourth by which stage you have to get creative. If it's not our first pick then he's a bargainWe are a monty to recruit this kid now we know he has been injured.

Don’t know his contract status but if Hugh greenwood struggles to make it back into the crows midfield he might be worth a tryhope we stay competitive then go for a relocation type
no one saw lachie neale happening
no one saw charlie cameron happening
no one saw shiel happening until later on
no one saw scully happening
no one saw hogan happening
even port shed some players depsite their supposedly healthiest salary cap in the comp
i guess what i'm saying is, lets get in the 8, stay as competitive as we can, then really sell to a player who may want a new home, our new HQ and a side on the up
a player may want to come home, may want a serious pay day or may want to go to side playing finals
They dont call it the football factory for no reasonGeelong will hide him away for twelve months & while everyone forgets, they will grab him with a very late pick - star in 2021
