He would be the quickest and slickest in our midfield for sure , but again , he can spray his kicks , especially at full speed. He would get plenty of it though and is like Parker in the air. Gold Coast are into him again though.

Beams wasn’t taking unexpected leave throughout the season though, Steven is depressed and he has to work through that, there is no telling when or if it pops up again.

Beams played the system very well, as did Gaz, and the beauts at AFL house turned a blind eye. Don’t expect them to help us get a fair and equitable trade though.

Is Kelly flight risk though? I mean if he’d been drafted to St Kilda rather then Geelong he still would have requested the trade to WC, right?

It'd be worth it whatever it is. Taranto is already a gun of the competition, I'd hope we're sliding a piece of paper over to him with 7 figures on it and offering him swapsies with Dunstan for the number 7 jumper.

Its not far off the mark I wouldn't think.. Maybe something else later on or a player. Depends on how hard they want to go in the draft or package picks up for other elite players in the comp, I.e Cogs.

I know it's a hypothetical that would never happen but after completing that trade, we would have the same amount of elite on the list as we did before the trade happened.
Not exactly astute trading which would dramatically help improve the list.

No. Still too much upside to Gresh. Coniglio can be tagged out of games too easily, and in the current Saints outfit someone would go to him every week.

We need a Tim Kelly. Someone who can really impact a game. Went head to head with Shiel on the weekend and showed he is upper echelon elite. He is certainly good enough to push an ageing Ablett into a forward role.

I see Marlion Pickett was a deadline day nomination for the mid season draft. Has our WA mature age experience with Parker changed our attitude to Marlion?

Cognilio is a better player but he is also 4 years older than Gresh which makes it harder to compare since Gresh is ahead of where Cogs was at the same age.

But for a list with very few elite players, trading out one elite talent to get in an elite talent isn't improving the list dramatically enough to make a difference.

Not sure about that one Mikka84, but there has been a few articles that suggest we have a pick available.

It is possible that McCartin has been ruled out for the year on top of Roberton and Bytel.
