Their old man comes to the club nearly everyday and gets involved. The whole family are devoted to the club.

Their dream is to have both boys there.

Problem is if he shows a bit next year they will want 2 x 1st round picks ?

I know the industry like to say “if elite talent wants to join your club you do your best to get them in, regardless of position”.

But unless we cleaned house via trade so we can still target mids with picks it wouldn’t make sense.

Someone like Carlisle and/or bruce would need to go for a good price.

In saying that, he hasn’t set the world on fire as far as I have heard. Harry McKay wasn’t fetching a first rounder at the end of last year. Early second more likely and I feel BKing will be worth similar at the end off next season. Unless he develops early, which looks unlikely considering his build.

That’s a better time frame for both their development.
We can invest in Winx now given he’s ours, but if we’ve got the two next year who gets precedence in development?
One or other might be playing at Sandringham and getting second tier development.
Else otherwise Winx is getting AFL development game time with us, and Binx with GC.
Or we’re risking w/l to get AFL game time in to both.
In which case, we can blame Finnis.
It’s an unusual problem.

I think he is important. Works very hard and can take a contested mark. More interest in keeping him than losing another first rounder on a tall. God help the children.

We need a fyfe, pendlebury who can take responsibility and make the rest of the guys better.
