Would he be considered a big name player?
I do kind of agree, but obviously the club believes it is going to be a pretty tight squeeze.

Report: Multiple clubs circling star Crows defender
A number of clubs are tracking the availability of star Adelaide defender Rory Laird, according to former Crow Andrew Jarman.
Jarman believes the club’s poor performances on the field over the last couple of seasons has left them “vulnerable.”
“Vultures have left their nest. He would be a very good pick up with one of these powerhouse, Essendon, Hawthorn-type clubs,” Jarman told Triple M’s Rush Hour with Jars Louie.
“I don’t know what his situation is. But all I’m saying is that those smart clubs, they hand pick three or four of the best ones. And he’s on that list.”
Laird, who is from South Australia, is contracted until the end of 2021, when he will become a restricted free agent.
He was a rare bright spot for the Crows in an otherwise disappointing campaign, averaging 28.3 disposals, 5.7 marks and five rebound 50s.
Wonder what Laird would cost us?
Will be 26 by start of next season.
AA squad x2, BnF winner
This is referring to management of the Suns? They made those moves of their own volition, they weren't blackmailed into it, so I don't see why they're complaining. I felt a bit bad about getting Lyons for nothing when it happened, but as I was told by others here, they wanted to release him, since they didn't rate him and were paying him a lot.Ive heard gold coast aren't overly keen on dealing with us regarding Ah Chee after we embarrassed them last period with Lyons and pick swap
I'm guessing they'd want more than that for a two time AA who is still in contract. They'd probably demand 15 and next years 1st, maybe more.He was in the AA team 2017 and 2018, not just squad. Would probably cost us our Collingwood pick, doubt they would settle for the GC pick. I wouldn't want us to if we were in the same position.

I don't think we embarrassed gold Coast i think they embarrassed themselves. We had a need, they wanted him gone and were concentrating on what he didn't do. We have a different philosophy in we concentrate on what a player can do. they cleared a bid salary cap space to hold some young guns. I think the suns and the Lions are comrade in arms to some extent, both clubs know for AFL to succeed in Qld both clubs need to succeed.Ive heard gold coast aren't overly keen on dealing with us regarding Ah Chee after we embarrassed them last period with Lyons and pick swap
Can't see it happening. If we recruit Jenkins I'll eat my hat.
Please God, no.
I can see our need for a good full-forward, I just don't think Jenkins is that man for us. Despite being huge, he doesn't use his body well enough to take contested marks, I reckon. I'd rather have Josh Bruce or Charlie Dixon.
