Daniels read that better, and had a full head of steam. Yeah Daniels is probably faster than him too, not everyone is going to be the same speed.

If he can’t run any faster, he can’t run any faster. What do you want him to do about it?
Not quit and apply a modicum of pressure for reasons previously stated, but I guess quiting and giving up is acceptable.

Sorry, can you just read what I said again? If he literally cannot move any faster what do you want him to do? The bloke was cooked.

He was supposed to teleport

Wouldn’t mind throwing Jamie Elliot a lifeline..

We won't get him, he's been given/told by Melbourne that they'll give him more than Collingwood will offer. I don't think we'll try to match that.

There's not always an outside player worth tagging and I'm not sure he's up to tagging someone like Cripps or Bont.
Dunno, reckon he has the engine...doesn't Robertson win the endurance trials?

Two things I think we missed last night, were forward marking targets and speed between back and midfield. Davis and Haynes outmarked our forwards and Williams showed us exactly what we lack, he was a terror. So I really hope we trade in a big forward, someone who draws the main defender away from Charlie and Hippy. And I'd love to get Williams or a similar player who is an absolute jet.

Melbourne have offered a lot of coin for a bloke with suspect hammies...

Mate we all get you’re disappointed and hurting...we all are. But you’ve had your say and expressed who and what you’re angry with. What are you hoping to gain by repeating it over and over again? Will it take the entire forum to agree with you? Won’t happen.

Didn’t you say yourself early in the 2019 thread that a lot had to go right for us to finish above 12th? A lot did go right...and yes we fell short at the end. I can’t tell you how to feel but I truly hope for your own emotional well being that you’ll soon be able to reflect on the “half full” part of the glass, and find some joy in what the team we love brought us this season. Hope, passion, excitement....pride!

(Sorry mods I know it’s the wrong thread for this)

If our medical team, who at the moment are the best in the business, think that Elliott will be fine long term then I’d have no issue offering a long term deal. We showed last year with Adams we aren’t afraid to offer an extra year for a guy who comes with a suspect injury history.

Either way I think ideally we need to get another match winner into the team, whether that be through the midfield or up forward. As I said last night our attack really went to shit the last month and we seemed to be relying on Charlie or bust.

That's what makes him suited to tagging outside players.
Wasn't questioning that ....A few years ago he tagged Dusty, ran with him most of the day ..just lost it in other areas ( went the getting under the skin a bit far with kneeing and headbutting) that said Robertson did a great tagging job last night..if De Boer can run with Bont or Cripps I see no reason Robertson can't.

They need someone who can lead, they have one forward who can do that, the rest get beat by 1 one 1's with talls. They shouldn't have shipped Hogan.

They seem to have the knack of getting rid of their uninjured loyal players for half-cooked undisciplined players...

Those that follow the trade circle, who’s out of contract in the way of big KPF’s?

None. KPF don't magically become available - unless something appears out of the box I can't see us being able to add a significant upgrade in that spot this offseason.

I'd even argue mcstay was the best KPF available on the market before he signed his new contract.

We're just going to have to be patient I think. Fages will be working hard on our forward structure over the off season for sure.

Yep pretty much. Josh Bruce is a better (but older) player but by all reports he's going to the dogs, and Daniher seems to be Sydney or bust (plus I have no idea how we could satisfy the bombers in a trade).

Improving the quality of our entries will go a long way to making our key forwards look a lot better too.
