You in Brisbane BRAB? Hopefully ends up at the Suns so you can drive down the M1 every now and then

I'm actually on the gold coast. So even closer.

Michael Barlow suggested suns use picks 1 and 2 as part of deal for both crouch bros. If something like this gets done it's exactly why I dislike the effect of the assistance package if we would have other wise been a chance to get Matt crouch to play up the road from bro. I get we couldn't match 2 but in that conversation someone like Matho unfortunately comes up with our 1st to start a conversation, assuming he would consider departing crows

Not sure why the hostility ... I was bringing something over here to see if something has been heard
Don't worry about the hostility, Lions supporters beat each other up way more on here. Cox I'd suggest is not for sale. Last season was interrupted for him going home to WA where is is apparently an 'elder' in his community to sort out some stuff. He didn't get any continuity until late in the season in the Reserve Grade and it looked like we also moved him from being a backman to playing half forward/on the ball. He bulked up a lot this season also so I guess he is getting used to a new position and new body for attacking the ball. The last few games he looked really good and got that one game in the top team. The commentators in NEAFL TV started calling him Junior Silk which made people watch him a bit closer as well. The reason I think he is not for sale is that Brisbane haven't seen his best yet, the coaches haven't put a ceiling on his value like some others in our 'depth' category. With his ambidextrous kicking and increasing speed I personally think he may be suited to a forward roll but I can see from the outside having played both ends other clubs might value his flexibility. Getting that 1st's game late in the season indicates to me he is valued highly and we wouldn't want to see him go.

It's usually the same story about possible trades for pick 1 or 2, year after year. The club goes "well if it's an amazing offer, we'd listen", the media goes "Club Open to Trading Pick 1" and then useless commentators go "Here's a ridiculous possible trade that will never happen" and then no trades happen and they use it in the draft. Media filler, basically.

As long as we're getting Bulldogs trade rumours going, not sure if it's ever been mentioned but The Bont, Josh Dunkley, and some other Dogs players were at Southport watching the NEAFL Grand Final. Getting acquainted with potential future team mates perhaps?***

***This obviously has nothing to do with anything but let's see if anyone's gullible enough.

Not necessarily a logical one trade wise, but Jordan Ridley from Essendon would be worth a look I reckon. Plays a similar role to Nick Haynes and uses it well; i'm optimistic in what Witherden can do next season but I believe Ridley would offer more defensively and as an interceptor, while also being a good distributor in that 3rd/4th defender spot

From the games I've seen Ridley play he is more of a running defender and probably best suited to the wing. He has played a bit of midfield this season in VFL while Haynes strength is 1 on 1 & intercept marking so very different players.

Witherden will never be a Haynes type but has shown substantially more than Ridley. Witherden improved his defence this season significantly and with 53 games in 3 years I don't see why he won't continue to improve. Ridley has some talent but not sure he is better for the team than Witho.

Just depends on the offer jonno, would we give up Hugh McCluggage for pick 1 and 2 + Izak Rankine?

Just an example I know but in this case probably not. We don't know whether 1 & 2 will work out, get injured or even stick around and Rankine ditto. Hugh is durable loyal and bordering on elite.

There is literally 6 posts in a row giving reasons why we shouldn’t and that we should tell dogs to get stuffed. You have just cherry picked one for your reply.

Nobody said he was untradable though

You said people where saying the opposite, which would be that he should/could be traded, was not what was being said at all. I not starting a shit fight but if you read the posts that’s what majority where suggesting.

I think you may be referring to the gif I posted from the castle (tell them to get stuffed). Was purely just some light hearted banter mate. Would I like to trade him? Absolutely not. But if the offer was to good to refuse, we would be silly not to look at it.

Yep exactly what I was saying. The vibe of the posts aimed at the Bulldogs fella was that he has put in size, is being called silk jnr etc etc. i think he is very tradeable which seemed to be against the grain. Was only an opinion.
