Cox is pretty much the type of player I would want us to be targeting from other clubs. Someone who is 2nd to 4th year. Has talent but has never cemented a spot in the best 22. Potential that could be tapped into in a new team as they develop. No blame on the dogs for asking.

Similar to us looking at Ah Chee and I hope we are looking at others who might be similar - eg Caldwell, Bonar, Cockatoo

Says we need someone to fill the Hodge roll but doesn't like Birchall. Not the biggest CEY fan but he does add depth. Mids need outside runners. 3rd defender Adams had some good games but also found out a bit in a couple, bit of a worry. Not totally convinced re our 3 pronged tall forwards but unless we can snag an A grader there is no point bringing in another plodder. Big fan of Rayner but Cornes potted him slightly (basically said time to step up to next level). In terms of where we finish next year definitely expects us to play finals but thinks we might drop off a couple of spots from second.

Adams had two bad games against the reigning premiers:) you could say that the whole team got found out bar one or two players in those two games, not many defenders can defend precise delivery on a fast break. Our defensive structure thrives on intercept marking deep in the goal square, all the games we won our midfield pressure was enormous to work to the strengths of our defenders.

Let's not forget Adam's has only played 30 odd games, and was coming off injury and a shortish spell in reserves, his upside as a swing man for us is a lot.

It still makes me laugh that Wallet calls himself "the list manager", second most AFL games coached to have never made a grand final.

Despite that i still say Round 21 2000 when the Dogs beat the unbeatable and undefeated Bombers side and pretty much invented flooding was a masterstroke. That about all he's done tho. Almost 20 years ago wow.

Inventive but almost single-handedly turned the game into an unwatchable mess that turned people away in their droves.

And he admitted yesterday 4 of the 5 draftees he had in one year where gone 3 years later.

He is entitled to them. But he should also expect a bashing.. especially if he goes after one of our young, loyal players in a disproportionately harsh way. Sticking up for a young player is not being 'politically correct' it's just not putting up with garbage and defending our own.
Hhhmmm defending our own??? But bashing (verbal) a fellow supporter?? Do these really fit?? That's funny.
No one should be verbally bashing anyone for an opinion it makes no sense on here

I know sydney are the frontrunner for daniher but Dr Larkins talking to Dal santo just said with the OP that he has once it's established and with the long limbs he has and the multi directional movement demands of the game and the awareness since the 90s about the condition it is unlikely it is a medical team issue. It can ruin a season and the player needs to take the time to get right which he may be doing and may get up, but the risk is CATASTROPHIC level I would think

Mitch Cleary this afternoon said that the Lions showed interest in Jamie Elliott although he is likely to stay in Victoria.

Would be keen.

Similar style forward to Lincoln McCarthy only better IMO, can't go through the midfield like Linc though.
Linc is actually pretty good thru the midfield (especially given his lack of multiple pre-seasons to build a base fitness). Maybe this is what makes Bundy vulnerable (say compared with CEY)...Fages and co want another goalkicker to be able to rotate forward and thru the midfield.

Looking for a 3rd year and $$$, we are going to face cap issues in next few years so might not give him quite the package he might get from Dees or hawks
I think Elliot is a clever dangerous player but for what he would want we already have guys on less who can play the role , plus he's injury prone . To me he's icing on the cake for a club looking to maintain dominance whereas we're still a team trying to get to that level.

For or attacking structures unless we could get a potential gun in the 23 -26 yo bracket who gives us something we don't have at all I'd pass

Who knows where Daniher's at but he would give us something we don't have and really give our forward line so much more potency.

He's also still relatively young . But just a pipedream I imagine

Peak Daniher+Peak Hipwood+Peak Cameron would be scary as **** if they were ever playing together.

Daniher sounds like he's cooked though. Sydney's problem.
