Skinner has re-signed apparently, although nothing official yet.
Cutler, Taylor and Robbo likely out the door through trades. Basti delisted and Hinge would have to be upgraded to stay on the list along with O’Mac but O is contracted.
Lester 1 yr and maybe Keays too?

9 unsigned on primary list... you left out Corey Lyons, Bundy and Walker, plus 3 on rookie list... Basti, Hinge and Eagles, makes 12 all up. Plus Big O needs to be upgraded to senior list. This is way too early to call. Depends who else we bring in and who we trade out. Don't think it will be decided till sometime after end of trade period.

Yes, it's alot of players imo, just feels weird that we haven't officially delisted anyone yet. Basti Hinge and unfortunately Walker might be gone, and a couple of others traded.Just my opinion.

On Skinner, Hasn’t resigned yet. Noble made reference to him when speaking about our keys forwards coming through. Inferred he’s not going anywhere.

I asked Knightmare and there wasn't much interest until he started carving up the WAFL.

IMO recruiters may have overlooked due to his maturity and commitment levels. Once he had a kid I think he grew up fast.

Having a kid worked for Robbo. Works for most of us I reckon.

Dodongo thinks we can't get A Graders every year. Landing Neale has made everyone think we can get A Graders with a click of the fingers.

Dodongo has no doubt the club has gone after A Graders. They are not going to tell us whom and give us info of everyone they have enquired about - no one will.

If said A Grader doesn't wanna move to QLD then there is nothing we can do. Dodongo has no doubts we have contacted the A Graders on the market and not on the market at the moment. They just chose not to come

Weird flex. I wasn’t predicting anything nor do I have any inside information. I was merely saying that there is no way to tell what we have planned until it is all done and dusted. It’s becoming clear our club are pretty quiet about their recruiting and that we are running a pretty tight ship in terms of leaks.

We leaked like a sieve when we were a rabble a few years ago. Noble isn’t the type to give the media an advance heads up for the sake of it.

Acres would basically be a direct Cutler replacement. Tall winger who frustrates coaches by not doing what's expected of him, regularly in and out of the side as a result of that and injuries. He's not as quick or as much of a long kick, maybe a bit more physical and better aerially, has played as a 3rd or 4th tall forward a bit. He and Cutler have both had eye-catching runs of form that don't seem to have convinced their coaches, which should tell us something.

We'll need a bit more depth on the outside if Cutler and Taylor leave as expected (and if Bailey continues to frustrate). Acres though- meh. He'd have to come cheap.

I haven't watched him play that much but stats show he tackles, marks and wins a bit of the ball, and the tape available online shows him kicking well off both feet and capable of harassing around the marking contest which could free Mcstay/hipwood up more to lead. The saints board think he has been played out of position and should be more midfield, and that a new coach (Ratten) might be able to get the best out of him. Comments around the quality of his delivery inside 50 are different to Cutler who is accused of bombing it a bit. He was originally pick 19 and is only 24, I'd be prepared to give up our third round pick for him

I can see an argument made for similar quality (though I haven't decided whether I agree or not) but I struggle to see how it could be lesser value given the guys moving on are those that spent just about the entire year in the reserves.

That's great for the NEAFL premiership table but not what I attach the idea of success to.
