I'm calling BS on Mark Stevens not many clubs have matched offers in the past (if any?)...IMO seeing free agency opened yesterday Friday I'd say that there's a chance that this is an opposition clubs offer... (The Pies now know what that is.)

At 6.30 pm Mark Stevens reports on a meeting with Elliot, his manager and the Pies List manager earlier that afternoon...
The News crossing Channel 9 at 6.45 pm reported that Elliot was the literally the last to arrive at the Copeland, in fact, the pre-Copeland had a vision of Elliot looking a tad lost...(If body language is anything to go on I don't think it's that positive news for the Pies.).

Unless they can convince him to stay for less I'd say they still remain in the dark over Elliott’s plans for 2020.

With Gold Coast having an abundance of high end draft pics this year and likely to get good pic for Martin , any chance they accept a future second or future 3rd for ah chee . Next years draft isn’t meant to me as strong but they may like to spread these pics over a few years rather then one big hit . They also gonna have two top 10 picks next year.

If it was my team, I’d rather one big hit, knowing a) next years draft is potentially weaker with possibly up to 20 nga, father son and northern academy kids rated in the top ~50; and b) knowing I can prelist all my academy kids and Darwin zone kids to my now 10 rookie list spots; leaving me the ability to load up on potentially 5 to 25 rated kids this year.

Where GC’s picks are, they could potentially draft the top 5 kids out this years winning NAB league team, the Oakleigh Chargers.
