Barrett on Trade Radio just now said that Collingwood have no interest in trading Phillips BUT the squeeze just might be too much for them to hold him. In a slight pickle are the Pies. Love it.

And yet they were desperate to keep Elliott.

Really hope we make a splash in the last 3 days! Hopefully they have something in line we haven't heard about.
I'm not going to hold my breath personally. With only three days to go I suspect anyone wanting a trade would already have put their name forward.

Yup, just looking for a pick upgrade myself.

Yeah any players that pop up now would only be trade bait - with the possible exception of Collingwood. Still, we might see us try to move our picks around.

With Aish just shows you the contract is only you are getting $X for Y years.
Clubs moan about when players in contracts want a trade. Although all to happy to offload someone on a contract when they want.
I say Norf pick him Aish up.

Norf have been unbelievably quiet this period.

Which is weird considering they've enquired about every single off contract player. Every. Single. One.

What North need is a system whereby the enquiring club doesn't have to reveal its identity until after the player has signed.

mick1013, it would be nice to get another A/B Grader in this trade but its worth remembering that we finished 2nd on the ladder after the home & away season with the current list of players we have now. (who happen to be 2nd youngest in the comp)That said, my thoughts are to keep developing this talented young list to give us the best chance in 2020 rather than paying BIG $ for an outsider. We are loaded with young men who ooze talent that will get better every game they play. Added to that, one of the best coaching groups available to assist in these young guns development to become the grand finalists they all so desperately long for. The future looks bright regardless of who comes on board in the next few days.

I say we do pick swaps and Ah Chee and that is it.
Unless Taylor, Cutler, A Smith, N Robbo go with player swaps.
You do not see swaps so much of late.

I’m guessing we’d continue to play Cunningham down back

Where's the Cunningham talk coming from? Has he been linked or just looking at his options.
One rando on the Sydney forum.

Harry Cunningham would be a great pickup for Us he has Pace and can play almost anywhere on the ground
Dont know much about Cunningham. Listed as 182cms, nearly 26yrs of age, and as defender/midfield. What are his pros n cons? We could certainly use another sm defender in the squad, is defense his strength, does he provide defensive pressure that could be used fwd or in the midfield as well? Whats his run and pace like? Could he be best 22? Age and experience seem ok, 100+ games, we certainly could use the depth in the sm defender role. If he provides what we need cheaply why not look at him.

A real shame to lose Taylor. Underrated and was unlucky through an untimely injury not to play more games this year. I would rate him very slightly ahead of Christensen. Whatever we get for him will be less than his worth.

Just watch him magically find form at the Swans.

Good luck to Lewis at Sydney. He was fun to watch when he was on, hope he can be best 22 and play for years to come, and the only poor reviews he gets are in all games he plays against us.
