Moving "like a gazelle" says afl.com's Travis King

You actually forget how powerful Sandi can be. There was a period when they were practicing centre clearances, and Hugh Dixon turned on the spot and ricocheted off Sandi's chest about a metre. Took him a while to get up and collect himself. Sandi kept running and handballed to another player.

Reminded me of that time he cleared out a Hawks player chasing Morabito on the 2010 elimination final.

You'd say McCarthy will definitely play this week, hoping he provides something special up forward. Hopefully Sandilands can get up for the derby and start his little farewell tour for the end of the season.

Sandi/Darcy rucking and have Lobb up forward.
No confident with Lobb full time forward. Is that too tall and immobile?

There is no chance we play Sandi, Darcy and Lobb unless for some ridiculous reason that Cox and McCarthy are also injured.

Far too slow

He’s more mobile than Cox imo and would immediately take his spot. One would imagine the selectors will probably wait for Darcy to play a stinker before swapping him with Sandi. He’s been pretty solid his last two outings.

When Hogan is injury free, he’s a straight swap for McCarthy.

HFF: Walters Hogan Cerra
FF: Matera Lobb Switta
Ruck: Sandi

He'd get 2 weeks for that these days even though he had eyes on the ball the whole time.
Would love to see Nic Ratinui backing backunder the ball with Sandi going for a big mark knees up for ultimate revenge.
(Unfortunately the Rat has never had the courage to take that kind of mark)

Nicnat has knees made of paper mache now, he won't be jumping or kneeing anyone in the back again.;)

Unfortunately sandi is too much of a gentleman. And if wasnt the mrp would ban him for life with their snakey double standards ..

Watching NicNat vs East Freo with the sound off as I had the Freo game on my iPhone. I looked up at one point and noticed a skinny East Freo fella taking his time to get rid of the ball thinking you’re going to get caught young fella. Then outa nowhere came NicNat. Love his tackling intensity but in this case he body slammed the young fella into the turf and then pressed him hard again the second time. The young fella was struggling as it was. Don’t mind the second push down but the body slam into the ground was totally unnecessary. Tackle hard, even hit them harder so they hurt but once gone and have no control don’t slam into the ground. It was very similar to that tackle he got reported for.

The one he got reported for was the "best" of 4 or 5 previous tackles that were much worse - in games leading up to the reportable tackle.

It's his "thing" now.

There is a definate trend to tackle the under 70kg kids from behind and ragdoll them

He Would have enjoyed the tough guy image he got from the nasty tackle he put on the 40kg lighter Karl Amon that he was suspended for

His coach and former players in the media also seemed to understate the seriousness of those tackles.
They basically martyred him.
